Hit the Spot (Dirty Deeds #2)

Hit The Spot, is that reading that you fall in love. That makes you laugh out loud at one point and the other you want to read more than 100 words per second and know what will happen.

HTS it’s the second book in Dirty Deeds Series. It can be read as a standalone. Although I recommend reading Four Letter Word first.

When I read Four Letter Word, I remembered why I love J. Daniels, and I could see that she has grown as an author in her writing.

But this book is one of the reasons I love J. Daniels. I thought she could not beat FLW, but I was wrong. This is certainly one of my favorites and one of the most memorable books of my 2016.

Jamie totally surprised me and loved it. I loved that he didnt change, he is him. And he never apologized for the way he was. The whole relationship was burning. The tension between them is unique and has you totally stuck.

I love the characters in this book Tori & Jamie are both likable. Yes, he acts like an arse sometimes but we know the real him its so swoony! He is easy on the eyes and sweet when he wants to be.

I knew from FLW that I Jamie first time I was scr*w*d. Totally Scr*w*d.

I mean, blond hair guy, surfer, beard. Arrogant. Cocky. Smocking hot body and a dirty mouth. Yeap. Totally Screwed.

I love the funny, the bet, everything between the characters. The chemistry between Tori & Jamie was obviously undeniably sexy. The whole story flows nicely from beginning until the end.

Totally recommended. I do not want to talk about the characters or the story because I feel like I’m going into spoilers.

I just highly recommended.

J. Daniels did not disappoint.

This story begins right where Four Letter Word leaves off…with Tori and Jamie dancing around each other. Jamie pushing to get Tori to give him a chance, Tori determined to push Jamie away despite her attraction to him.

Then comes the bet…who can hold out against the other longer? Game on!

My review:

After loving Four Letter Word, I couldn’t wait to read Jamie and Tori’s story and it didn’t disappoint. While you don’t have to have read Four Letter Word, I would recommend it…you will understand more about how Jamie and Tori got to this point if you do.

These two…loved them! Fun and flirty and stubborn as hell. So great to spend time in their heads and see them come together. These two being the way they are, nothing happens as expected and the story was a blast from start to finish.

My thoughts:

POV: switches between Tori and Jamie
Quick hook or slow starter? 5 (I was hooked from the first chapter)
Character development: 4.5
Level of Romance between characters: 4.5
Passion/Heat level: 4.5 (takes a little time for these two to finally get there but it is worth the wait, hot and steamy and the flirting is off the charts!)
Angst/Heartbreak: 4 (both are very stubborn which causes challenges)
Cliffhanger?: No, wrapped up in the end with a beautiful epilogue.

Overall, I thought this was great and can’t wait to see what this author has in store next!

The Dirty Deeds series started off with a bang and Hit the Spot was no different. With each book she writes, she gets better and better. To out it simply, J. Daniels slays me!!

Tori Rivera aka Legs is a firecracker. She’s also sweet as tea and spunky with a sassy attitude. After finding out her boyfriend is married her trust in men goes down the drain. So, of course Jamie pursuing her relentlessly puts her off… at first, but no one could resist that stud.

Jamie McCade aka Loser is a complete womanizer to boot, especially with that charming smile and his sexy, laid back surfer vibe. But he has his layers. He’s sweet, caring, and devoting which slowly begins to melt Tori’s fight against his advances.

After the constant back and forth and misunderstandings, Jamie and Tori finally start a bet.

Who will beg the other first?

It’s a battle to the death, per say. They’re both bound to fall and give in eventually. But soon the bet doesn’t matter and feelings between them start to develop.

This series has become a gem. You’ll get a little bit of everything with this 2nd book. Be ready to be shocked, for the tears, giggles, but most of all to swoon and fall head over heels in love. Jamie McCade is indescribable! Since book 1, all I wanted was his story and J gave me more than I could ever imagine within the pages of this book, making him by far my favorite

This book will surely Hit the Spot!

This is the second book in the Dirty Deeds Series and focuses on the best friends of Brian and Syd from the first book.
Jamie, our hero is one passionate, driven, dirty talking, loyal and gorgeous Alpha male. The man is sex on legs.
Tori is beautiful, loyal, adores her friends and family, is a true girly girl and despite her intentions she falls hard for Jamie but she refuses to tell him.
So why not 5 stars? Jamie seemed quite a different character in this book. I loved his loyalty and he could be very sweet in an Alpha bad*** way. But I felt like he morphed into a Kristen Ashley character because of the way he spoke. Tori spent ages pretending she wasn’t in love with Jamie and that was a bit too much at times.
Overall it was a really enjoyable read with heaps of passion . Lovely to see the other characters too.

I loved Hit the Spot way more than the first Dirty Deeds books, I honestly didn’t think I was going to like it as much as I didn’t think much of Jamie in the first book but I do love J. Daniels so I decided to download a sample of the book and it didn’t take me long to one click it, it was exactly what I needed with a right good laugh at the beginning, it was filled with flirty banter and some downright hot and steamy sex. Jamie McCade is a foul mouthed, sex on legs (and water) alpha-male who knows what he wants and isn’t shy about getting it. fantastic stars for a grear book all we need now are Stitche’s, Cole & Travis’s stories (hint, Just finished it, absolutely loved it I was in hysterics at the beginning, I think to be honest I actually loved Jamie more than Dash. Please tell me there’s going to be more? We need to hear Stitch, Travis & Cole’s stories.
