If I’m So Wonderful, Why Am I Still Single?: Ten Strategies That Will Change Your Love Life Forever audiobook free

While I enjoyed the book being a straight women, I didnt realize the book was published in 1998 and is pretty dated and socially off base! It revolves around the differences of men and women and the historical progression of gender roles. I did get some out of the book, but for queer readers it would be irrelevant and out of touch! Next time Ill pay closer attention to when the book was published!

This book is about understanding the failures of singles perception about dating and finding a date. It does a good job, but the book title is slightly misleading, and I\’ll explain why I think this is. Susan Page walks through a lot of different scenarios about why couples either can not find love or can not maintain it, and throughout all of it, never goes into a whole lot of depth. She stays very broad on each of the topics (I understand depth would be difficult in this subject matter because who can say what someone really feels when you don\’t know someone). At the very end, she addresses a topic that I think the book\’s title addresses more directly than any of the single\’s mispercpetions – anxiety about finding someone to love. That topic at the end was in it of itself a subject of content for another entire book, but Susan dismisses it with something along the lines of \”ease of mind comes in time\”. I think that all singles find that this is a difficult matter to resolve, and it would have helped if Susan had more to offer about this. Other than that, while I don\’t think the book was written with a psychiatrist/counselor\’s precision in explaining the failure stereotypes, I think that Susan definitely did a good job with her book.

Audiobook If I’m So Wonderful, Why Am I Still Single?: Ten Strategies That Will Change Your Love Life Forever by Susan Page

I came across this book when i was searching for online help to make peace with my restlessness to find the meaning behind the behavior of a man i was dating and gave me a lot of headache. I am so thankful, Susan Page came as a guide at the right time. I realized that he was a committmentphobe just like all the men in my life till now. After having short term dissappointing relationships with them, i have been trying to find out self depreciating faults in myself. This book goes step by step in helping the readers like me to identfy the ambivalence in themselves and associated fears which attract these kind of half committed people in life. This book has been a powerful tool to help me look at myself and my needs, how to align them for right mate and steer clear from wrong relationships. I have no man in my life right now but this book made me very clear as to what i really should be looking for and keep looking for what i want, never to lower my standards and be perseverant. The author clearly is full of wisdom and her emphasis that we will find what we look for provided we are clear as to what we want, can be taken as a promise. I highly recommend this book to any single person out there finding love.

Audio If I’m So Wonderful, Why Am I Still Single?: Ten Strategies That Will Change Your Love Life Forever narrated by Joyce Bean

The title of the book caught my attention right away as it\’s something I think to myself quite frequently. Unlike most self-help books, this author actually tells you what might be the problem; she\’s not afraid to be honest and she has many legitimate reasons for why you could still be single. If you are truly wondering why you have failed to be in or find a decent relationship, then don\’t buy any other book but THIS ONE. It will give you a nice reality check. So if you\’re wondering whether or not you should buy this, I say BUY IT. It definitely isn\’t a waste of your money!

This is one of the best books I\’ve come across for addressing how to find an intimate relationship while dealing with yourself in a society that values having a successful career vs. a successful personal life. I really like how the author goes into the Great Emotional Depression our society is experiencing. The author also gives you good strategies on finding intimacy in the face of your own issues and environmental circumstances that make it harder to find lasting relationships. Very good book.
