I am reading the Jack Swyteck novels in order but this one had such an egregious error that I wanted to complain!
Theo is in a gun fight in a horse barn and gets his gun knocked out of his hand and under the feet of horses and in the next paragraph he is shooting into a stall where the bad guy is! (With no explanation of where he got the gun.)
How can this pass editors?

Last Call audiobook in series Jack Swytek

A review of my book purchases in the past few months will show that I have ordered almost every one James Grippando has turned out over the years. He is so prolific, I have come to think of him as having been fortunate at an early age to be afflicted with the “What If…?” virus. In other words, when the virus surfaces, it brings on a “What if such-and-such were to happen>?” which triggers the Grippando imagination into another great read, “Last Call” being one of those, which feature Jack Swytech and Theo Knight, and lots of laugh-out-loud zingers. Love those guys! And speaking of Grippando’s “What If….” virus, I hope if he and wife Tiffany get invited to the White House for dinner, that he won’t feel an attack coming on, because it is likely he will have to excuse himself, and make a mad dash for the men’s room, to begin plotting on whatever paper is at h and, with what will surely be another terrific read like this one. Bring ’em on, Mr. Grippando — and fast! I’m 80 years old and want to read as many of your very entertaining books as the Good Lord allows me.l .

“Last Call” had me wrapped up in its story until the wee hours of the morning!

Audio Last Call narrated by Ron McLarty

Loved it. It focused on Swyteck’s best friend, Theo Knight. It was great getting to know him better. I truly enjoy the Miami geography because I live in Miami. The Overtown history is amazing. Besides all of that, this was an edge of the seat book.
