Mr. November (PI & Men to the Rescue #5)

This was a very good read for me. Simple plot and short. Liked the H and h but I thought the conflict was strange. (SPOILERS) The h was not burned in a fire but was traumatized by a fire that others were injured in. But she wasn\’t actually in the fire herself…it just didn\’t make sense to me. Why not just make her a burn survivor? That seemed like a much simpler plot and I think it would have been more interesting to have the H, a very physically beautiful man, succumb to a woman who had some physical features that weren\’t perfect. It seemed like a missed opportunity for a deeper and more interesting story. But like I said I still enjoyed the book overall.

What a wonderful story. Josh really deserved to get his happy ending but he also deserved to suffer a little first. Amanda did the job admirably and they both got their happy ending. It was nice to catch up with Mick and Del and Zach and Wynn as well. I would recommend this story to any adult reader who enjoys sexy alpha males and the women who settle them down.

First of all; Lori Foster has been one of my favorite all time author\’s. I love that most of her characters have depth to them and most of them are very strong willed, even those who have been scared deeply in the past. Josh Marshall is one of the sexiest men alive and Amanda wants him for the November issue of the calendar that\’s she putting together for a fund-raising project to help burn victims. But Josh is not being very cooperative, nor was he willing to try to even play fair. Amanda has secrets behind the reason she lives like a recluse, and when Josh sees through her cold exterior. He smart enough to know where there\’s smoke, there\’s usually fire. He\’s willing and more than able to cut through that cold exterior to find out what\’s hidden beneath. He throws out the total ultimatum. He tells her that he\’s willing to do what she wants, if she\’ll do what he wants. Will she except his challenge? Or will she go on protecting her heart from further hurt? Would I recommend this book? Yes, most definitely!

I got this book last yr, I noticed that somenpages were missing. The book details state that there is 224 pages however, I only got 60. I would like this to be fixed or get a refund or something. Aside from that so far I like the book and would love to finish it.
