Police and law enforcing units have failed to get things under control in Despair. A powerful multi-millionaire rules the land and along with him is a group of elite soldiers that are equal to Jack in their skills. Everything is suspicious about these villagers as they allow no one to enter a specific place which they keep under protection all the time. In that place plane daily lands and departs at a fixed time.
A big plan is under work and Jack must stop all of this with the help of a beautiful police cop this time. Lee Child puts Reacher against the whole village and the only ally he has is a young female cop. It is about nation once again Persuader and One Shot kind of themes are left aside for a while. For capturing the attention of a mature audience Dick Hill has concentrated more on the rhythm in the voice. Usually breaks in narration are not liked by the adults so Dick Hill keeps it smooth like butter for the newly attracter adult group of listeners.
