Tough Cookie audiobook free
I really enjoyed this book! It is a Book that I would recommend to anyone,teens to elderly. Nothing in the book to offend any reader. My only complaint is there is no index to the recipes she has in the book. I would really like an easier way to go back an retrieve a recipe than to have to skim every page to find one—because believe me she has some really good recipes that you will want to try! This series is addicting! I can’t get my housework done until I am between books!

What’s not to like about a fast-paced whodunit featuring a “real” person who isn’t the Hollywood fiction norm? She’s plump, loves to cook, ski, and be a friend and mother and a good wife to a cop. Now, I personally won’t try any of her recipes…if it doesn’t come in a box I don’t bake it; if it takes more than 3 ingredients, I won’t make it, but “Goldy” does make me drool. That signals a night out to a good restaurant for me, but I love Diane Mott Davidson’s writing, complete with horrible ex-husbands, folks with bad pasts, poor taste, or hidden foibles. They’re all real people you can identify with.

Goldy is catering at a mountain lodge for a television cooking show which can be a big boost to her catering business. Goldy finds the body of Doug Portman at the bottom of the hill when she leaves one night and the police find a card with deadly powder in his car. Now, who wanted Doug dead? Was there more than one person or was the card just insurance to make sure he would die. Goldy is in the middle again and still needs to be cooking at the lodge for the TV show. She needs to find the killer before she is next. Good read.
