John and the rest of the members of Ember save the day without being noticed by anyone. Thus an attack on Ember’s base was not expected and when it took place the men were just not ready for it.
Many precious lives were lost and John gets the hint that the Russians were behind the operation. The Russian wanted to take control of the Black Sea and the only thing standing in their way was Ember. The US President finally takes a big step and announces that Zeta is a threat to the land which should be eliminated at any cost.
