One Perfect Touch (Very Irresistible Bachelors #3)

I am fairly new to Layla Hagen but I have quickly become a huge fan of her writing and the stories she creates, especially when it involves tight knit families who are fun, sexy and romantic. Its effortlessly easy to fall in love with her characters and I always lose myself in reading her stories. One Perfect Touch was an terrific, heartfelt story with swoon worthy romance, hot and steamy scenes, family oriented and a cast of wonderful characters. The story flowed so beautifully and I couldnt put it down. I loved every word. I loved everything about Robert and Skyes love story. They fall flawlessly in love with each other with instant and sparkling chemistry, great conversations and romantic dates. Their relationship is so hot and passionate. I was so captivated by their beautiful romance that I didnt want it to end. This book is low on angst but big on the feels! It totally had me swooning and smiling the entire time. Its a very sweet, easy and extremely feel good read with a surprise happy ending. I am so looking forward to reading more from this wonderful series!

Skye and Lindsey are always working as they build their lingerie business. Opening a store is so rewarding but also takes a lot of time. But she finds time to help her neighbors when they need to sell their home quickly. She is stunned when Rob walks in to see the house, not expecting this extremely hot man to walk through the door. Rob is shocked by his reaction to Skye when he tours the property. What he really doesnt expect is that he cant keep his mind off of her. He doesnt do relationships, so busy running the family business but he finds himself pursuing her. These two share a drive to take of their family. They are also very driven to be successful with their businesses. Skye is afraid of commitment, fearing anyone she might love with leave like her father. Will Rob be up to the task of breaking down that barrier with her? Will he realize that there is more to life than his work? These two have a super sexy connection that steams up the kindle!

This is the story of Skye and Robert. Skye is the sister of Ryker from the previous book. Skye is guarded because of her fathers actions as well as past experience with boyfriends. Robert has come back too NYC to help his sister and niece out following a divorce. Both are extremely close with their family and family plays important roles in their lives. Skye was doing a favor for her neighbor in selling their house as they had to leave due to a family emergency. Robert like I said is back in town to help his sister but is looking for a house to buy. Robert is ready to put roots down and stay in NYC but he is very particular with what he buys. Robert is smitten with Skye the minute he sees her but only as a neighbor with benefits type arrangement as his life does not have time for anything else! Skye is also smitten with him and Skye has a tendency to speak out loud without seeing who is around and she unknowingly lets him know how she feels. Skye is also not interested in anything serious because of her history. The chemistry was off the charts from the beginning with both of them. They became involved and before long both could not go without the other. They were very comfortable with each other and their arrangement. I did feel that although they had great chemistry, it was too easy how they just melted together. There was a lot of LOL moments but Skye carried a lot of baggage that she had trouble putting aside and not associating with her relationships. Skye was very fearful of the what ifs and Robert was a go with the flow type person. When nature surprises them with a OOPS everything just fell into place. It was a cute story but needed some drama. I do look forward to the next book though as I LOVE the entire family.

Ok, there was a lot that I had issues with in this book. I am a product of a single mother. My husband is also a product of a single mother. They portray their mother as a strong woman who not only raised the 4 of them alone, but also raised their cousin. And she moved to NYC to raise them! So how come they state that, but then say that they had to take care of her like she was some weak woman when she had eye surgery? I get she couldnt see, but come on. They treated her like she was a child? What strong single mother would act like a child? Just no Just not believable to me. And some parts the editing was off. It was just Rob, Skye and her mother. Then in the next paragraph her sister Tess is there, then gone again. Not sure if Ill read the next books. Maybe if I am out of something to read. Her books used to be more believable and I loved reading them. I might wait until and see.

I have loved every book Ive read by Layla Hagen and One Perfect Touch was no exception. Rob moves back to New York to take over Dumont Foods and to be closer to his sister and niece. When he goes to see a potential house to buy, he meets Skye and their attraction is instant. Skye lives next door and is showing the house for the owners. I highly recommend this book, especially if you love steamy reads that have family as the main foundation. Grab your copy and join Skye and Rob on their journey. You will also get to know Anne-Robs sister, Tess-Skyes sister, and Cole-Skyes brother, that just so happen to be single. Im looking forward to reading their stories in the future.
