The Queen of Air and Darkness has trapped Harry in a curse because of which he has to fulfill every command of the queen or he would end up worse than dead. All the tasks which he has completed till now have been hideous for Harry but he never expected what was coming to him as a next order.

Harry is forced to accompany Archleone i.e his worst enemy to break into the city vault and steal the most valuable article present there. A valuable article present in the vault will help Archelone and his band of villains to break the vault in Nevernever after which they will finally get what they desire. It was Hades who was at first in possession of something this powerful and now Archelone plans to get all of those powers.
Only Harry among the rest knows that his arch enemy is not in a mood of sharing those powers once he gets hold of them. Jim Butcher has portrayed Harry as a tricky wizard in Death Masks and Proven Guilty but his hands are bound to serve in this novel. For survival, the wizard searches for some tricks hidden under his sleeves or he and the rest of the group is going to hell for sure. James Marsters narrates wonderfully the troubled condition of Harry as he desperately searches for allies in the band of enemies. Locations randomly change in this fifteenth part which was a need of the story.
