Stephen King ended this series on the seventh chapter thus this is the last one before the finale. Almost all of the listeners of this series fully agree on the fact that this chapter helped a lot in decorating the last chapter. Mia the demon wants to give birth to her future heir but this is impossible without a proper human body. As Mia starts searching for a suitable match she confronts Susannah Dean who looks perfect to nurture her chap. Mia gets into this body and goes to the year 1999. Saving the tower and whatever is present inside it becomes difficult this time because the enemy is growing in power very quickly.

Ka-tet tries hard to stop the whole process but he is amazed to observe that magic has now evolved to its last stage where it can protect itself from a foreign attack. Eddie and Roland are also present in the same world but they are in a different time zone. There Roland observes a person who gets connected to him when he wasn’t expecting it. If someone hasn’t started The Dark Tower series till now then he has missed a lifetime opportunity to enjoy fiction. George Guidall adopts a narrating style in the novel which was observed in The Institute.
There is a chance that Guidall listened to that novel before starting this one and tried to give it the old style of another narrator which was liked by the fans very much. Roland and the rest of the friends once again remain successful in containing the evil but their problems remain unsolved at the end.
