The Body Double

I generally figure out the “twist” ending in a thriller about a quarter of the way through the novel which I find so frustrating because the book is basically over for me at that point. Not this book! The plot is so unique and the twists and turns so unexpected that I did not guess what was going to happen! I loved the main character and the other characters are so vivid and realistic I could imagine just how they looked and spoke. Oh and this is going to make a great series or movie. For sure.

This book falls into the category of “What were they thinking?’ It’s like the pretty, young girl walking alone at midnight past a deserted house where a chain saw can be heard running inside and she goes in to take a look. Okay, there is no chainsaw but it’s the same principle – people making the most stupid decisions and not asking the big questions that practically scream to be asked. Besides that, it was very depressing. I would avoid this one.

Wow! How do we write a review without spoilers!!?? It can’t tell you how interesting it was to follow the mind of the main character. Beyda does a great job transforming this woman into her new reality. You can literally feel her seeping into Rosanna’s world, life, essence. I don’t think I’ve ever been taken on such a journey in a story. Loved it!!!

This began as a creepy, dark story. I almost stopped reading early on, but I already felt that I knew the ending of the story, and I kept reading – skimming at times – to see if my reactions and conclusions were correct. They were.
Dont waste your time reading this. It is an unpleasant read, sometimes not only unpleasant but also boring, and the entire pretense of the book is quite weird.
Hard to believe this was actually published.

This book just captures you. You feel like youre going through what she is. So many emotions were felt during this book, excitement, suspicion, fear, etc.

It was perfect for my virtual quarantine book club.

I highly recommend this – best book Ive read in a long, long time.
