The Excalibur (Space Lore #2) audiobook free
I loved the first book in the trilogy but it had to be simple to some degree to avoid getting bogged down in hundreds of pages of back story and world building. It was still a great book and a great story but it also had the \”A New Hope\” feel. In this second book the characters are already known so the story can be more complex and the introduction of even more characters makes the world of Space Lore feel fully developed. I LOVED the object of the Excalibur that the book\’s title is taken from. When you hear \”the Excalibur\” you think of a sword. Ha! Not so fast. The Excalibur in this story will make your head explode with how cool it is. I was going to read another book before starting the third book in this series but after the way this one ended I have to keep going right now.

This book was even better than the first in the series. It isn\’t often I read a book in one day, but I did with this one and I am anxious to read the third one in the series. It is action packed, keeps you on the edge of your seat and is easy to read.

This story continues 6 years after the first book. A new fleet (not a lot of details here don’t want to spoil first book) is preparing to attack Edsel Dark. It isn’t using the portals but crawling across space to allow other ships to be built and use portals to join them. Edsel Dark will be outnumbered by more than 3 to 1. Military meetings but the leader is not showing up to them. There is one outside chance to free the legendary fleet of advanced war ships called the Excalibur fleet. It is in a meteor flinging across a set path through the galaxy. Leaders and philosophers have tried for years to free the fleet, but all who have tried have failed. Most of the time, the ships explode killing those trying to free them.
