No page turner. I found myself skipping pages because it’s just the same thing over and over. Let’s move forward and start making plans action. Loved books 1-4, but book 5 seems like filler. I had a hard time wanting to finish reading it. I think the series should end soon and not be dragged out much longer. Let’s hope book 6 is WAY better! If you are new to Bella read her A shade of Vampire books you won’t be disappointed;)

The Gender Fall audiobook in series The Gender Game
First, I keep seeing the ad for this book on Facebook and I commented that the series ( I bought all 7) was shallow and had no character development. There were gaping plot holes and it read more like a die hard movie than a deep thinking story that it started out to be. The plot completely changes as If someone else started writing it in the middle. This was my honest review. They also banned me from their Facebook page and deleted my review which was deceitful and theyre just trying to sell more books. If you read most of the reviews of this series, youll see its not that good. Book one is compelling. The other books have you skipping pages because its some sort of impossible shoot out every other page. The plot is weak and makes no sense past the first book. I did buy all 7 and read them just to see how it ended and was as disappointed as I thought I would be. If you like the shoot up kind of action books, youll probably be entertained. If youre looking for a good story line with compelling characters, dont bother. As youll see, the further the books go, the lower the ratings are.

The Gender Fall audiobook by Bella Forrest
Read all gender game books. Thought, this was the final book and it turned out to be nothing but filler. The story that grabbed my attention in the first 3 books has lost me. It’s now a never ending soap opera.

The Gender Fall audio narrated by Rebecca Soler Zachary Webber
Not of the same caliber as the previous books in this series, which furthers my suspicions that this is not a single author but a team of ghost writers using a pseudonym.
Of particular concern was the frequent misuse of the word “bemused”. What kind of legitimate author believes it to be synonymous with “amused”? And what kind of editor allows that kind of basic error to go by unnoticed more than a dozen times? It distracted me from the overall content.
For the sake of your own literary reputation, please correct the electronic version immediately, and the hard copies before the next printing (if there is one).
I’m going to continue with the series, in hopes that book 6 doesn’t leave me bemused (CORRECT USE OF THE WORD) by its grammar. If it does, then I don’t know if I can continue to book 7.
Disclaimer: If I have any grammatical errors or typos in this post, please keep in mind that I’m not paid to write, nor do I have an editor.

ARRRRGGGGHHH, THAT WAS THE BIGGEST CLIFF HANGER EVER AND I NEED THE NEXT BOOK RIGHT NOW!!! HOW COULD IT END LIKE THAT? NO. NO. NO!
The Gender Fall starts right where we left off with the last one. Everything is in chaos and several people are hurt and/or dying.
Through the whole book I was clutching my phone, waiting to see what would happen next, who would survive and how they were going to take down the two ruling societies who are now on the brink of war. I had no idea what was going to happen and didn’t know there was going to be another book until I was about 75% done with it. I wanted to start screaming when I got to that last page because as I said before, that was the biggest cliff hanger I have ever been left in.
Bella Forrest’s writing gets better and better with each book I think and this was so far her best. Her writing style was a lot smoother and deeper. I felt like we got to delve a lot deeper into the characters minds and the world building. She just keeps adding new layers to this horrible world and makes it even scarier with each book. You know how some book you’re like, “I totally wouldn’t mind living in there. I’d get to be best friends with my favorite characters and they could teach me everything they know and it would be awesome.” Not so with this book. I would never wish to live in this world. It is so terrifying and I love how Bella has built the world and continues to build.
There was a part in here that was really hard for me to read because it hit pretty close to home. It was so hard to read and I appreciate how Bella incorporated it. She did make it pretty believable and really made me feel.
I also loved the character development in this book, but there were several things I wasn’t a big fan of. Probably the biggest thing that bugged me was when there was something big going on and they needed to put all their focus into this, but then these two characters were swooning and drooling over each other. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good romance, but only to a point, especially when it’s in a dystopian novel that contains a lot of action in it. I loved the characters when they were focused on the war that was going on, but once they started slobbering over each other I wanted to slap them both.
There was plenty of action in this book. It felt like every time one scene ended and maybe we would get a little break and some happiness, something else happened and it was back to gripping the book and screaming on the inside as everybody got hurt and came close to death or died. The Gender Game series is one of the most intense series I’ve read and it didn’t stop in this one. I cried really hard at some parts and my heart wouldn’t stop pounding at others. These books have been one big roller coaster after the next.
Now, the ending. Oh my goodness that ending was brutal and intense and why would you just end it there and make us wait. I was expecting this to be the last book and then when I found out I was dreading the ending because I knew Bella would leave me screaming and crying for the next book in a corner, rocking back and forth like a crazy person. May 10 won’t come soon enough and when it does I will read that book like my life depends on it.
I would rate this book 14+. It was really intense and there were a couple of scenes that might be upsetting for young ones. There was also a scene where a couple almost has sex, but they stop because they want to wait till their married. It was pretty detailed and I had to skip almost the whole chapter. I was pretty disappointed about this, but almost every book has had something like this, it just hasn’t come quite so close.
Wonderful book all in all, probably 4.5 stars just because of the few complaints I listed above. Can’t wait for the next book!
