The Particulars of Peter: Dance Lessons, DNA Tests, and Other Excuses to Hang Out with My Perfect Dog

I loved The Particulars of Peter! One of very few books that’s actually made me laugh out loud.

This book was an absolute delight! I loved it so much and laughed out loud to the point of tears on multiple occasions. I could relate so much to the author and her (what some might be considered a bit crazy) love for her dog. There were a few chapters in the middle that felt like a bit of added filler that lost some of my attention, but overall this book had so much heart and joy. I highly recommend it for any dog lover out there!

Kelly Conaboy is one of my favorite writers, so obviously I was thrilled to buy her first book. It does not disappoint — in just the first 20 pages I was laughing out loud and tearing up at Kelly’s perfect depiction of the process of adopting a dog. If you love dogs, or just funny, insightful writing, you will love this book. FIVE STARS

It’s a breezy, hilarious book that you’ll want to re-read immediately.
