The Upward Spiral is a book on health and wellness. It is all about employing neuroscience to reverse back any form of depression. It is about making taking one thing at a time or one change at a time. The book is written by Alex Korb Ph.D. He is a neuroscientist, coach, and author. He has vast experience of studying brains for more than 15 years.
The narration of this book is done by David deVries. It was seen that David in the initial chapters of the book was reading a bit too fast. It started to get better and smoother just as the book progress. Overall, you will not have major issues with the narration.
The Upward Spiral
Depression is a thing that doesn’t just happen all of a sudden. It is a gradual process and it gains momentum over time. If you ever go through a rough or difficult time, you must stop taking care of yourself. You must stop exercising and must eat healthily. This would end up making one feel bad just as the time elapses. You are all caught up in a weird kind of a downward spiral. But, you might feel too tired about it and maybe too overwhelmed. You might feel too scared as well to try to pull things back in the upward direction yourself.
If you have struggled with depression at any point in your life or your loved one for that matter then this is the book for you. It will make you learn a lot of things about the brain and how it works. The narration wouldn’t give you an excuse to skip this one.
