WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW! That single, and not at all sufficient, word was on repeat in my mind as I read this book. Truthfully, erotica isn\’t typically my thing. But this book is most definitely MY THING!! I LOVED it!! I was supposed to be writing (don\’t judge), and instead I spent an entire day devouring Callum and Oaklyn\’s beautiful story <3 I was even reading it at work, and yes, that\’s as awkward as it sounds… But I just couldn\’t put it down. I loved everything about it. I rarely describe books as *unique* anymore. Obviously each story has its own spin, but not a lot of books make me sit up and go, \”I need that.\” This book did and I\’m SO glad I took a chance on a genre I don\’t gravitate toward. This will definitely be one of my 2018 favorites. Oaklyn and Callum were amazing! I loved their individual characters and I loved them together <3 <3 <3 Oaklyn was the perfect amount of strong and soft. And don\’t even get me started with Callum… gahhh I love beta heroes so much! *heart eyes* He fought for her but HE DIDN\’T BULLY HER!! This is a big problem I have with alphas sometimes. I like a hero who wants the heroine and isn\’t afraid to show it, but he doesn\’t have to throw her over his shoulder and boss her around to prove it. Exhibit A: \”Please,\” she whispered. So I did as she asked. I left. I didn\’t want to, and I didn\’t think it was the end of it all, but I left because in that moment, I knew she needed time to process. But I wasn\’t letting go. I wasn\’t done trying with her yet. Not by a long shot. It was also refreshing to see a male character who wanted a wife and family, not just a hook up… \”I wanted a wife. A family. A woman to carry my child. My chest ached with a strong desire for those things; my limbs were heavy from wanting to reach out and take them for my own. I just didn\’t know how to get to them, waiting on the other side of the dark cloud holding me back. But I wanted them.\” Anddddd I\’m dead… he was perfect <3 Like I said, I don\’t read erotica, but I am beyond happy I decided to go outside my comfort zone and read Voyeur. If you\’re on the fence… BUY IT!! This book has so much depth, and there is a good chance you\’ll fall in love with this phenomenal book just like I did <3

I\’m at 80% and I honestly don\’t know if I will finish.**DNF at 80%.** Over & over & over I keep reading the same lines, and I do mean THE SAME LINES… the descriptions of the H&h reactions to each other, the descriptions of their sexual play, it\’s everywhere, so I am compelled to ask… what am I missing? I don\’t even find the characters interesting enough to want to finish the book. Even after they come together & come to some sort of understanding, again… I feel like I am reading the same as before they came together… it\’s just been way too much of the same the entire way through this book. I sincerely had high hopes, it sounded so good… the title & description had me practically panting. But as I read, the panting evened out really quickly & ultimately gave way to lots of eye rolls anytime breasts, sexual acts & behaviors were described. As an English major, & knowing there is such a thing as a thesaurus… I\’d hope any author would have one at the ready.

Audiobook Voyeur (Voyeur #1) by Fiona Cole

4.5 stars \”I didn\’t deserve her, but I watched her anyway.\” Voyeur was my first book by Fiona and it left me deeply impressed. I dove in almost blind, only knowing a little. Actually I only knew the title, the cover and that everyone was already raving about it. And I\’m far far away from being disappointed. So I can recommend to dive into this story blindly. If you are up to it and brave enough, stop reading my review here and get started with Voyeur! \”She gave me hope and made me want to try harder for that promise of a future.\” The story as well as the writing style of is pretty much captivating. I got addicted to turning the pages, reading every free minute I could. Voyeur is full of damn hot scenes and they are all delicate and classy at the same time. Fiona managed to find a perfect balance between describing hot scenes and developing the interpersonal relationship between Oaklyn an Callum. \”I want Clark Kent. I want the man adorably in love with the stars.\” … \”I want the man who looks at me like I\’m more than any of those stars.\” Oaklyn is very mature for her nineteen years. It\’s obvious that she had to be self-dependent from an early age. I\’m impressed how she handles her life and works for her dreams. The deep understanding she shows for Callum and the way she tries to help him getting up is simply amazing. \”I always imagined you when I thought of making love to someone under the stars.\” Callum appears much younger than he is. Well, 29 is not that old but anyway… You knew right from the beginning he\’s a broken man but it takes some time until we get to know the reason. Callum is an easy likable character, easy to fall and care for. It was great to read his journey with Oaklyn and the way he develops over their story. \”She made me feel so much, so much happiness, that when the darkness came, it didn\’t put a dent in who I was.\” Voyeur is really something else. With the perfect balance of character development, story development and hot but classy scenes it fulfills every erotic romance readers dreams. I can only highly recommend reading this book. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. P.S.: And did you notice this adorable hot and classy cover? It captures the story of Callum and Oaklyn perfectly! I simply LOVE it <3

Audio Voyeur (Voyeur #1) narrated by Edward Thomas Yvonne Syn

First off, this book literally blew my mind so much so that it left me speechless! I have no idea how to write this review so please excuse the rambling. If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would! It was so much more than your usual forbidden romance. You could really feel the depth of pain Callum was going through, I truly felt for him. Oaklyn was so much wiser beyond her years and was the perfect partner who not only supported him but her love helped heal him. Yes, of course there were some smokin hot, off the scale scorching moments but they really added to the story and werent just there for the sake of it. There were also scenes that tugged so hard on my heart strings it hurt! Some were sad but some were just so beautiful and perfect. This really was a book that gave me all the feels! Fiona Cole has a unique way of storytelling that truly captivates and takes over every part of you. It was everything!!

This wasn\’t as erotic or dirty as I felt the blurb led us to believe and, to be honest, that was why I picked this up! However, despite this actually being more of straight up contemporary romance I still really enjoyed it. If you\’re picking this up hoping for some very erotic scenes you will be disappointed. There are actually very few visits to the \’viewing rooms\’ of Voyeur, one of which involves the H and h so doesn\’t really count. Really the only \’point\’ of Oaklyn working there is so that it can lead to (view spoiler). So I didn\’t end up with the filthy, one-handed- reading type of story I was expecting. Given that I\’m not the biggest fan of \’straight\’ contemporary the fact that not only did I finish this but I also enjoyed it is testament to some great writing. Oaklyn and Callum\’s story really held my attention. It\’s so much deeper and more complex than just a student-teacher taboo story. There are layers and layers to this book. There are issues to be resolved, pain to bear and tough decisions to be made. Flowing through it all are some incredibly deep emotions, I was nicely surprised by just how much this book made me feel. So despite it not being the book I originally expected, it turned out to be a book I very much enjoyed reading.
