Dark Celebration

This book was fantastic with all of the characters from the previous books all in 1 book.

There were a lot of sex scenes between the different couples & there were a lot of good vs bad fight scenes.

There was a Christmas pageant with the kids of all ages participating in it & Santa even visited. Santa even had presents for the children.

At least 2 unmated males found their mates; but 1 has to wait for his mate to grow up a little more. The other I dont know what hes waiting for. But, he did risk his life 2 times in the book to protect 2 different people from getting hurt or dying.

Savannah surprised Gregori with the fact that theyre having twin girls (he didnt know because 1 was hiding behind the other) & Mikhail made Gregori play Santa.

All in all this book was fantastic.

This was a great story seeing all the characters from her other books and her first book which got be started reading paranormal. Christine books are original with tragic and believable stories that keep you wanting more I highly recommend this series!

I enjoyed reading about the Christmas celebration shared by all the couple’s to date. I also enjoyed a glimpse into two more couples, whose stories come later in the series. The recipes included were a pleasant surprise bonus. I actually bought this when it first came out in hard cover. But now I read almost everything on my Kindle, which means I am buying a second copy of all Christine’s books in spreader format, too.

This is my favorite Dark Carpathian novel. I look forward to more reunions. I would have enjoyed a longer story but it was well executed. Their combined personalities were hilarious especially everyones reaction to Josef. When I first read Byrons story and his descriptions of Josef, I laughed until I cried. I noticed Byron wasnt included with the group of Carpathians several times in this book.

I have been working my way through Feehan’s prolific Dark Carpathian series for the last several weeks. My original interest was a search for understanding the widespread and enduring attraction to this particular fantasy/romance genre. I found myself curiously absorbed into the story, drama, action and plot like of this mythical species living among us on this earth. The saga has appeal because the species struggle to survive is expertly superimposed over the classic good vs evil dilemmas even non-fantasy species endure. The sex is sizzling and abundant, the sanguinicity tolerable.

HOWEVER

This book disappoints! I forked over $9 for this series installment – a high price to pay for me. I received a book I should have been paid to read. While the story is still quality, the writing and editing are pathetic. I made countless notes over misspelled words, in some sections on every page; their frequency supremely distracting…annoying…irritating…
There are extraneous and random spaces inserted throughout the text. There are even grammatical errors where words are used incorrectly and out of context – not characteristic of this author in the previous 15 books. The storyline is actually interrupted by both the frequency and the magnitude of editing failures. Don’t bother with this book if publishing butchery is a problem for you too.

I am trying the next offering in this series, just because. At the first sign of this aggravating shortfall, the book, the author, and the series get sidelined…..pity.
