When I saw a post about this becoming a Netflix show (like 8 eps or something), I noticed it was available on Kindle Unlimited so I downloaded it. I LOVED it. It was absolutely hilarious and I loved Ken but also rooted so hard for BB to get what she deserved from Ken! He was the complete opposite of BB and her past. But he was an awesome guy. This memoir is great, witty, honest and REAL. I recommend it to others, if you don’t mind hearing about her sex life. Which is also strange when you think about it that you’re actually reading about someones sex life, not some fantasized idea. But I loved her truth.

I read all the other books in the series in the correct order wanting to get to know the whole story up until this book. However, doing that effectively ruined this book for me due to BB’s inconsistencies. Knights birthday was not found out the same way, Harleys entire introduction, life, and tattoos were changed (his book he has a 100k car and this book he doesn’t have a car at all,which is a major plot issue with his book), and I couldn’t even read far enough to find out how she ruined Hans story. Also how much she claimed to love her husband yet she never just talked to him about things that upset her (has been married for years but didn’t realize that he had to concentrate during sex NOT to come was the reason he’s so unresponsive). She just seemed childish in her desires. I loved the other books but can’t get on board with such massive changes to the stories.

I can not stress enough how much I loved this book. I am a VERY picky reader and I very rarely consider a book to truly deserve such a high rating. I would not hesitate to give this book a full five stars. I laughed OUT LOUD in several different places and I was on the edge of my seat to find out what would happen next. I did not skim any part of the book (which is rare for me) and I did not want to stop reading even though it was getting late and I had to work the next day. I literally read parts of it to my husband and he laughed too. I’m not going to recap the story for you, that’s what the blurb is for. I’ll just tell you why I loved it. The characters were fully fleshed out, the book had the perfect amount of descriptiveness so that I could picture it in my head but not get bored with being force-fed unnecessary details, and it was so humorous that I was fully engaged during the whole thing. There is no reason not to buy this book. I absolutely loved it.

While writing in her journal BB referenced conversations with the journal by name. You got it her journal was named Journal. BB informed her friend Journal about fond memories from her past. BB wrote two journals: one from her past included ex boyfriends and one for Ken which was to educate him in areas that BB deemed needed working on.

BB in her younger years was wild, crazy, and bad. BB explored sex at a young age and put up with loser ex boyfriends for attention and love.
BB was married to Ken for ten years and had two kids. BB felt sexually deprived after having two kids. Ken was a vanilla lover while BB enjoyed kink and variety. Sara entertained the idea to play an experiment with BB’s journal and Ken. Lesson was to use the journal to educate Ken on all fantasies involving BB in the sex department.
BB’s imagination ran wild. She created some sexy sexcapades with her husband that were clumsy attempts at being kinky and spontaneous. Each attempt was disastrously funny.
While trying to spice up her sex life with husband Ken BB wrote about her ex boyfriends hoping to spark some passion into her husband. BB dropped hints in her journal entries encouraging Ken to give compliments, provide a pet name, initiate sex, and tattoo her name on his body.

Right now I’m filtering through my high school experiences in rapid succession, eating up all the ’90s references and sexual teen experiences from this book and thinking…yup. Loved Eastons fun, energetic and sometimes manic, writing style. She told a story without TELLING it to me. I FELT, every loserish guy who stalked her, intimidated her, worshipped her and betrayed her. Most of all, throughout the entire book, I FELT how much she adored and loved her husband. This was such a fun read.
Now, this is a review for the book which I read after watching the Netflix series. Book and series, vastly different but little pieces here and there, weave the two together. I will say that I really liked the Netflix series and was like BRAD, Heck Ya. In fantasy land, I want a guy like Brad to pursue me, I mean how romantic is that? After reading the book I was like KEN EASTON, you sly dog you with your stoic husbot ways, you stole my heart.
BB, you stole my heart in so many ways with your story and I will remember this book for a long time.
