Action and mystery were the top priorities of Lee Child initially when the series got a launching and later the author has kept the experiments going. These experiments in the story have made the listeners able to know more about Jack Reacher’s personality.
The listeners have seen him fighting like a soldier Nothing to Lose while during The Hard Way he was a spy initially. Dick Hill’s voice gives the alert of an accident to begin the story here. Bus crashes near Bolton because of heavy snow and Reacher who was also among the passengers has no way to go. During this time he thought it would be wise to take a tour of this village in which he and the rest of the passengers are staying. Investigation proves that it was the snow that was hiding the hideous face of lawlessness in the village. Only one woman in the entire town has the gut to speak against the injustice in a loud voice but her life is in extreme danger.
The enemy has hired an assassin to get rid of this loud-mouthed lady. Against such a powerful rival the woman has no chance unless Reacher decides to be her frontman. Reacher decides to put his life in danger to protect the woman and he has 61 hours to deal with this whole mess and leave the town once again. The thrill and hidden attacks by strangers destroy all the fun of snowfall for Reacher but he has never been the romantic sort who tries to enjoy natural phenomena such as snow.
