The prologue is a heartbreaker, I laughed and I cried all through this story. It would be difficult not to have emotions when reading this beautiful story. Miss Janie had a tough beginning but made it through with the help of her aunt and her girls. The girls came home to roost and discovered the love that had been missing for them. Love the sass, love the humor love the love that pours out of every page

Sarah Jane Jackson had twin girls out of wedlock back when girls under 18 were not allowed to keep their babies if their parents did not permit it. She always yearned for those baby girls, and felt a hole in her heart. As she grows up, becomes the principal\’s secretary at the high school Sarah Jane, or Miss Janie as she is known as, takes in two girls who need a home. Theresa is the first girl she rescues, and Kayla is the second girl. Time goes by, the girls graduate from high school and move away to live their own lives….for better or worse. Noah is Miss Janie\’s great-nephew who only sees Miss Janie once in awhile when his parents are between assignments for the Armed Services. He gets a call from Miss Janie when she is in her 70\’s saying that she has cancer and dementia and needs him. He comes to her home where he finds that she wants him to find not only Theresa and Kayla, but find her lost babies. From there the story is very interesting, and shows what happens with love within a \”blended family\” and how love can make an older sick woman\’s life very sweet…..and brings love to those who least expect it in their lives.

I cried, laughed and was happy and sad reading this book. Carolyn done an awesome job writing this very caring and amazing book. Well done Carolyn Brown.

This is a wonderful, heart warming read! I loved Miss Janie\’s Girls so much. It is a tender, touching and sometimes funny story. It gives one hope of anything being possible. I fell in love with each of the characters, as I always do with one of Carolyn Brown\’s Books. This is a keeper. Read it, you won\’t be disappointed, as the author makes you feel like you are right there in the middle of the story. I wish I could give it 10 stars!! Kudos Carolyn!

Miss Janie\’s Girls by Carolyn Brown is an emotional story full of heartache and love. Miss Janie had so much love to give she fostered Teresa and Kayla. All three of them had come from abusive homes in one way or another. Then there was Noah. Miss Janie was everything he wanted in a family. When they got older Teresa and Kayla left and never looked back. They were both ashamed that they may have disappointed Miss Janie. Noah\’s life went off the rails but he found his way back. He was there for Miss Janie when she became very ill and asked him to bring her girls home. For him, her wish was his command. He found both Teresa and Kayla and they all came together for Miss Janie. Her illness was very hard on each of them. I laughed and cried as I followed all of them. I loved this book so much I was sad when it ended. As always this book of Carolyn Brown deserves ten stars. Unfortunately I am only able to give it five.
