The Storm (The Storm #3.5)

I am a BIG fan of the Mighty Storm series and it is a lifetime favorite of mine. I can still recall the moment that I finished Jake and Trus story and the sheer panic that ensued right after because well. It was OVER! What in Gods name would I read next and how do I get over this massive book hangover (this was before I even knew a term had been coined). So yes, huge panic attack to say the least. So you can imagine how happy it always makes me when Samantha Towle adds on to this unbelievably addictive series and there was no question that Id pick up this novella, The Storm.

I confess that I had a perma-smile already plastered across my face from the very first page. I loved seeing Jake and Tru settled with their beautiful trio of kids and still deeply, madly, and hungry in love with one another. The physical chemistry between the two of them hadnt ebbed since the moment theyd reunited in The Mighty Storm. Theres just something so wildly beautiful about these two. It could be the loyalty and the innate love they have for one another from the very start of their relationship. Its the term meant to be that rings loudly when I think of them. In The Storm, Samantha Towle proves just true that sentiment is. When Jakes past returns to haunt him, the fear that curses through reverberated off the digital pages of my Kindle. Scared to death of losing Tru and his family, Jake must once again rely on the genuine and unwavering love that exists between them and Tru doesnt disappoint. Its what makes me love Tru so much and its why shes still a staple heroine in my book. Shes incredibly strong and steadyshe loves deeply, she looks past her own hurt and allows love to take precedence. She rocks my socks.

The best thing about this novella was that it gave us something new and I couldnt agree more wholeheartedly with the author when she mentions in her note to her readers that this was a novella that was needed to complete the series. YES, YES, YES! I loved that she gave us a side of Johnny that I am sure many fans didnt even know we needed. The Storm completed the storybook ending. It sealed the deal in such a perfect way and I couldnt have asked for more. I love that Samantha was able to unearth something totally profound without tainting Jakes and Trus LOVE story. If anything it just proved even further the longevity and the strength of their love. The Storm is the perfect example of what a novella should be. It held just the right amount of drama to get hearts pumping and palms sweating, it had all the swoon-factor we all look for when were reunited with our favorite characters, and it had an end that satiated a readers need.

Where do I start? Oh Yeah ill start by saying that this book was absolutely amazing Samantha did such a brilliant job on this novella even though it’s short it packed such a big punch it was brilliant.

I love Jake Wethers , he has always been a favorite of mine , and together with Tru their story is just so touching their love for each other is like no other and in this story we see that again ten fold. If you loved Jake before you will absolutely fall head over heels in love all over again and even more so.

This story takes place years later and Jake and Tru have got the perfect life with love and three beautiful children a life Jake never dreamed he’d ever have. I loved the parts with the kids I laughed so hard they definitely are mini mee’s of both Jake and Tru and it was such a joy reading.

Ok I’m not going to give anything away because you all have got to read this story and feel it for yourself, yes you will cry my heart broke but it was something that needed to be addressed I was a bit nervous seeing teasers about breaking Tru’s heart, but have no fear please you must read this there is a twist I didn’t see coming and it is so crucial to the story yes it’s sad but it’s also beautiful and was so very much needed.

We get a glimpse of the other band mates in here which was awesome and also Jonny plays an important part “that’s all I’ll say you have to read to see what I mean”

I think a little nostalgia played a huge part in why I loved this book! It brought me right back to when I first read TMS when it was first released. If your a fan of TMS, then you will love this. Told from Jake’s POV, oh yes this totally made my day, with a very emotional voice entering at the end, The Storm was exactly what I needed to wrap up this series, sad to see this one come to an end…Can we get a series from the TMS kids when they grow up, pwease (intentionally misspelled).

I rolled with laughter at Jake’s interaction with his youngest child, Bella. I was delighted to get a glimpse of Tru and how much Jake is in love with his first & only love ~sigh! But when your wild past comes knocking I experienced a few oh please No. Then I actually cried LOL I LOVE to cry when I read. I loved the emotions that the author pulled out of me.

The very last chapter of the book killed me emotionally. I was so very sad and so very pissed. I kept thinking I could’ve gone through the whole series not knowing this but at the same time I had a watery smile on my face when I finished reading.

This was a 5 star read for me. Why? Well, I’m a huge rock star romance addict. I’m a huge TMS fan and loved that the author gave us this gift. It really does wrap up loose ends and is a proper send off to one of my favorite series. A must read for TMS fans!!!

Oh my word! Thank you Samantha, just thank you.

Once again I’m blown away by this author’s talent. The Storm is the perfect end to a perfect series. I really adore Jake and Tru, and I have to say I was nervous about reading this novella. I didn’t want the series to end and I didn’t believe that the author could top an already outstanding series.

I was wrong. The Storm is the story you didn’t know you needed. It brings the whole gang full circle and was just superb. The rollercoaster of emotions is real, from the very first page and right up until the very last word. I love the way that Samantha manages to break my heart and than help stitch it back together again in everything she writes. I spent the whole time reading with tears in my eyes and the biggest smile on my face. How do you do that, Ms Towle?

For any die hard TMS fans this is an absolute must read. I’m just sorry its the end, but then again you never know. Perhaps the mighty Samantha Towle will take pity on us and give us a prequel or a tiny tidbit. Here’s hoping anyway!

What a way to end 2016,

WTF!!! I didn’t think that this book could be this good and the Epilogue!!!! Jesus’s Christ is all I can say. I loved every single bloody word of this book and I cried hard, really hard and I didn’t think I could love this group of people more but I did. Tru stole this book for me as her heart was just something else and showed just what a great women she is.

And Oh My God To Hear Words from Jonny. NO, NO, NO Why??? Did he have to go

Right, I have pulled myself together and can’t resume this review. GO read this epic series and don’t wait. DO IT NOW!!!!
