The Gallos are back baby!!!! Prepare yourself for some more swooning and fanning, these Chicago men are just as hot as their southern cousins.
Lucio Gallo is the man every woman fantasises about, sweet, sexy protective, caring … this man is perfect. He is totally knocked off his feet when Delilah Miles walks through the doors of his family’s bar, the Hook & Hustle . Delilah is sweet, sassy, heartbroken, but she has a side of her that is also extremely strong and independent. Left penniless and homeless by her alcoholic father, Delilah walks into the bar, carrying her daughter Lulu, not knowing that her life is about to dramatically change forever.
Sparks fly instantly between Lucio and Delilah, leading to some very hot steamy scenes and a wonderful friendship. Even though Lucio wants to take things slow, what he wants and what actually happens are two different things, especially when you have a family like his. The scenes with Lucio and Lulu, Delilah’s daughter, just melted my heart, they showed a tender side to such a strong alpha man.
As with the previous Men Of Ink’d series, there is a wonderful family that is close knit and more than willing to give their opinion on anything and everything, whether it is asked for or not. I absolutely love Mama Gallo, Betty, she was such a terrific character. She’s definitely the one who rules the roost in that family. I’m certainly interested in finding out more about Santino, Lucio’s father – there’s a bit of mystery and intrigue surrounding that man.
A thoroughly enjoyable book, that had me smiling from beginning to end. Oh, watch out for Lucio’s striptease scene … that man definitely has some moves!!! I must say that I almost stood and cheered when Delilah was finally sable to say her peace to the two men who really let her down in life …. that woman certainly has some gumption. The ending was simply perfect and summed up the relationship of Lucio and Delilah.
I can’t wait for the next book in the series, FLOW. Bring those Gallos on!!!!
ABSOLUTELY A RECOMMENDED READ.

Chelle Bliss has done it again. Already a huge Gallo fan from the original Men of Inked series… I am completely in love with the Chicago Gallo family. I honestly have never claimed a book boyfriend for myself but, I’m claiming Lucio. He’s mine!
Lucio and Delilah meet under difficult circumstances, when she wanders into his bar without a cent to her name or even ID after being thrown out of the car by her own father.
She needs a phone to call for help, so she carries her tiny baby in with her to a small South Side bar. Everything that happens from this point forward is the love and generosity I’ve come to expect from Chelle Bliss characters, particularly the Gallo family. The story is heartfelt and the love that grows between these two people is amazing to witness. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. I could read it again right now. I’m very, very excited about this series. October 2nd can’t come quickly enough for book 2. Yes, she already has it up for pre-order – and I one-clicked it immediately.

Audiobook Maneuver (Men of Inked: Southside #1) by Chelle Bliss
The story was okay, but it could have been so much better. The author didn’t give much character background or development. I would have liked to have MORE.
Tell me more of Delilah’s background…and why her father always drank. Her constant tears throughout the story were annoying, though understandable given her situation in the beginning. Tell me more about Lucio and his background. Show more relationship between her and Lucio and how it developed. It felt like they were going at warp speed throughout the entire story with no real build up that I like to settle in and enjoy with other stories.
I’m glad this was free, because it’s just not for me. I’m curious about Angelo’s story, but with the way this one was written I’m just going to pass on the entire series. Sorry. It’s just not an enjoyable writing style for me.

Audio Maneuver (Men of Inked: Southside #1) narrated by Erin Mallon Lance Greenfield
I thought the idea for this story line was good, but the execution was lacking. I found myself starting to get interested, then when you think a good part was coming and I was left feeling a little cheated.

First I don’t buy love this quickly or the way this family just adopted Delilah and Lulu. She’s a stranger and they treat her like family. Second she’s supposed to be smart but somehow she doesn’t know she has a legal right to her possessions or that even an adult child has to be given a 30 day eviction notice to kick them out. Or how about when you know your Dad’s a drunk you don’t leave his name on your accounts when you come of age? I mean literally the only way this plot could happen is if the victim is too stupid to know they have rights. She’s a victim because she’s allowed herself to be, because she’s been too stupid to protect herself or her daughter and she’s too cowardly to fight for them now. Saying some mean words to people who have wronged you, as an adult, is not fighting for yourself. Filing a police report and hiring a lawyer is how adults fight for themselves. And how exactly is her exes name on the birth certificate if he didn’t sign it? If the father doesn’t have to sign that he agrees this is his child without needing a paternity test, then women could literally put anyone’s name on the birth certificate. Rich men would find themselves with hundreds of kids from women they’ve never even met. I mean the story is quick and cute but there are so many plot holes it isn’t even funny. It is well edited for spelling and grammar though which was nice, but more research would have been extremely beneficial.
