Midnight Runner audiobook free
Sad to say Jack Higgins “phoned this one in.” I read the e-book version, but even with the typos, the real issue was the story was fragmented, with a totally contrived ending. Imagine reading half a book about a Vietnam hero, who loses his daughter in a nasty plot to make him look bad. Then just as he starts to track down the bad guys, he’s shot and another partner takes over to finish off the bad guys. HUH? And the last scene with the bad guys in the plane is TOTAL baloney for a story. You’ll be doing yourself a favor to skip over this one. In retrospect I wish I had.

Midnight Runner audiobook in series Sean Dillon
Another brisk international thriller from the pen of Jack Higgins that delivers more than enough action. Sean Dillon has his hands full in this one and he does his share of shooting and killing. Some new characters add a fresh touch to the plotting. Higgins has included an American war hero in Vietnam who later become a Senator. Kate Rashid is still making life tough for everybody. Kate has an American cousin at her side who is a real piece of work. A subplot about the American senator’s daughter adds something different, too. My only complaint, however, is the quality of Dillon’s enemies. They cannot seem to ice him no matter how much leeway that he gives them.

Audiobook Midnight Runner by Jack Higgins
what can you say about Sean Dillon? A natural actor, a born killer and a drinker of non-Vintage Krug. But, there is so much more to him. This book is good as they all are. We meet a new friend, kill off an old enemy and save the world from an oil crisis. A good book.

Compared to the other Sean Dillon books, Midnight Runner has a vapid plot, and the action is slow moving. Had this been the first book in the series that I read, I would not have bothered with another.
