The pure irony is at work in these realms. Erik and Rugrat are not willing to step down at any rate because they are bound to go back to their world after breaking the curse that was cast on them during The Two Week Curse. Tides seem to be turning and the author Michael Chatfield brings more troubles for Erik and his friend as compared to The Third Realm.
The main focus is to enhance the strength of Alva, it has been a race for power and domination in the realms because the powerful can make his or her own rules and the weak can only hide as long as he can. Narration is in the crystal clear voice and with an awesome tone, Todd Menesses has provided very good service as a narrator to this series about the realms.

The author is not trying to control the spreading war in this series because he wants to make it look big till the end of the last part. Many rivals have fallen before Erik and Rugrat but it is not certain that they have won the game and they will survive the next six realms like a piece of cake.
