I was very impressed by TJ Brearton\’s writing in this book. From the start he had me hooked, if felt like I was watching things unfold. The attention to details and his characters was very well done. I wanted the killing stopped and to find out who was doing this. This is an intense book, well written with a great set of characters. I received an advanced copy, but liked the book so much I purchased it. I think the Shannon Ames Series is going to be a great series.

Into the Darkness (Darkness #1) audiobook in series The Darkness
Shannon Ames is a new FBI agent who is on probationary period. Everything is believable and the characters are all great. In this story someone is committing serial killings on media personnel; the media has dubbed the Media Killer. Shannon is told to monitor this case with the NYPD. This author throws us off a bit about who the killer is and makes us wonder why these particular media personnel, that is for you to read to find out. A real twist to this thriller awaits you. Also read to learn just what \”Into Darkness\” really means.

Audio Into the Darkness (Darkness #1) narrated by Victoria Mei
Into Darkness is the first book Ive read by this author, and Ill likely continue the series at some point. Not sure Ill jump right into the next book, which is unlike me. I enjoyed the story and the characters but because I had just finished another series written by a different author, the style of writing required adjustment on my part. There were parts of the story that had a lot of unnecessary dialogue tags, and other parts where I was confused about who was talking. It lacked flow at times, but overall my interest was held. Id say 3.5 out of 5 stars is fairly accurate for me, but I rounded up.

I enjoyed all of the book. Characters, plot, police interaction and all that went into the story. Looking forward to book 2.
