He likes his privacy and his cabin in the mountains affords him that. Ana is a nurse at St Joseph\’s in Great Falls. Saying she\’s dedicated to her job would be an understatement. Feeling run down and in need of a vacation, Ana decides to go to Bear Mountain. She\’s been there before in her younger years and the serene mountain cabin she pictures, would be perfect. Soon after Ana arrives, she is face to face with her past. A past that included Aubrey and the life she should have had…with him. Emotions run high throughout this picturesque mountain getaway as Aubrey and Ana find themselves together after many years apart. Ten years a multitude of guilt, betrayal, lust, love, and one sprained ankle sprang to the surface- not how either of them expected their day to start. Aubrey wanted to hide away in his cabin as he always did. Ana wanted to begin her relaxing 2-week vacation. It looks like plans have changed, the past has mixed with the present, and the combination could melt the snow off the polar ice caps! Holy buckets of feels the ninth book in the Irresistible Bachelors series, and I cannot get enough this one had me up until the light of dawn trying to finish. I\’ve said it before and I will say it again this series has captivated me with its characters, and storylines I love the down-to-earth feeling of them mixed with the perfect amounts of fiction, creating passionate, heart-mending worlds I can get lost in for a little while, coming out the other side better for it! Ana and Aubrey\’s story had me going back and forth on that an emotional rollercoaster high right along with them I couldn\’t decide whether I agreed with Ana or I agreed with Aubrey more most of the time. I love when stories/authors get me that involved in their lives. (yes I\’m aware of how that sounds, humph I\’m taking Brads advice*hair flip*.) Having Brad and Trey along for the ride – the best friends/brothers anyone could ever have as far as I\’m concerned added a beautiful bond, weaving humor that was much needed to break up the sadness, making this fantastic story that much more relatable and fun. Second chances, a mountainous of a man who will stop at nothing to regain her trust, beastly nights * FANS SELF * heartbreak to heart mend, some of the best advice you\’ll ever get, laughs and love what more can you ask for in a romance? Once again, Lauren has given us an absolutely amazing read! A great story that was well developed, easy to follow and contained stories within stories. A second chance romance that gives you what you expect. Grab a glass of ice water, a fan and possibly a private spot so you are not interrupted as you swipe through your Kindle through this steamy, engaging HEA story. Although it is book 9 in the Irresistible Bachelor series, it absolutely holds its own as a stand alone so don\’t feel like you have to read all of the books in order. Just make sure you read all the books at some point! Why not start here? No spoilers, just know you get a super story you won\’t want to put down until you get to the end.

This book felt so different from the rest of the Irresistible Bacehlor series, in the best way possible. The other books were all very light hearted and funny. This one was emotional. It had its funny moments, mainly thanks to Brad Aubrey and Anas past had so much tragedy that I dont think their story would have worked I the author had tried to make it more upbeat like the others. Their story needed to be more of an emotional roller coaster. The way she wrote this was amazing!! Its talked about a lot that Aubrey just left one night but we dont find out why until late in the book and its not exactly all at once. The author added in chapters that are flashbacks but only periodically so we get a glimpse of their past and what happened, and yet are left sitting on the edge of our seats to finally find out what caused so much pain for both of them! This is for sure one of my favorites by her! If I can suggest any of the books in this series itd be this one, but read the others too!! Ana and Aubrey were high school sweethearts until his disappeared on prom night. Now years later Ana has moved on and is working as a nurse. She knows that she needs a vacation and she loves the ad for Bear Mountain cabin rentals so she picks there to go. Aubrey has lived on Bear Mountain for some time with just his dog for company. He wasn\’t told about a renter coming by his cousin so he is surprised when they arrive. Ana doesn\’t realize who Aubrey is until she finishes wrapping his foot from where he hurt it. Aubrey is happy with the surprise renters once he sees its Ana. However she is still hurt and upset over what happened between them. Can Aubrey get Ana to give him a chance to explain? This is a awesome story once I started it I couldn\’t put it down. The chemistry between Aubrey and Ana is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this to any book lover. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. I enjoyed it so much I bought my own copy.
