Dear god this was depressing. More story on the sister and cancer than the romance of the main character. Not sure how or when they developed such intense feelings and devotion for each other— I apparently missed that. *Tip- keep your tissues close and an antidepressant. 13 people found this helpful

I’m a big fan of Debbie Macomber, but this wasn’t her best. Too predictable even though it was a sad story. 6 people found this helpful

Audiobook A Walk Along the Beach by Debbie Macomber
This book will take you through all your emo’s. The themes, reconciliation, evolving as a person, self care, selflessness, grief, forgiveness, anger, family and community, health care and health scares. At times I saw myself and other times I saw people I love. You will chuckle, you will cry, you will be happy and you will sit sipping tea with a lump in your throat!. I could tell some of the characters emo’s came from personal experience because at times I felt like I was intruding on someone else private grief. My Dad won or lost the battle with cancer depending on how you look at it! The care of him left me more aware of human mortality! This was a book that reminded me to live and persevere through challenges. Also successful second careers are possible too! You will root for love!!! 5 people found this helpful

It\’s obviously just written as a formulae that will sell. I used to read and listen to a lot of her books. Don\’t know that I will continue. 3 people found this helpful

This book was very enjoyable, happy, sad, lovely. It wasn\’t one of my favorites but it was certinaly worth to hear and own this. Debbie Macomber is just fanstatic. This will tug at your heart strings, so be prepared. It will bring all kinds of emotions out. The narrators were great, but not fantastic 1 person found this helpful
