The Book of Lost Names is a genre fiction novel. It is written by Kristin Harmel. She is an American novelist. She was only 16 years old when she had her first-ever writing experience which was in the capacity of a sports reporter. Soon, he diverted her interest to full-time fictional writing and offer fans a novel as good as her The Sweetness of Forgetting. Another novel from the author with a superb tale and characters is her The Winemaker’s Wife.
The narration of this chapter is done by Madeleine Maby. The narrator was struggling especially with her pronunciation. The book had some French and German words which she was not able to pronounce and that was distracting.

A retired librarian, Lina Meisel in Florida is going through a newspaper one morning and she freezes. Her eyes got attention from a picture of a book which she has never seen in her life. That was The Book of Lost Names.
The articles discussed the act of Nazis in looting libraries all across Europe. It happened during WWII. It was a thing that Lina remembered quite well along with the urge to reunite people with the content stolen from it many years ago. That 18th-century religious text is believed to have been extracted from France and it is one of the most fascinating cases to be discussed.
It is now placed in the Stadtbibliothek library in Berlin. The book is believed to have some type of code but researchers have no idea that where exactly this came from or what does this specific code means. The answer is only with Lina but will she be able to revisit all of her old memories reunite the lost people during WWII?

The story of this book is very interesting for sure. The author did brilliantly with that part but could have done a lot more with the character development. The narration of this book also lacked quality which made it a bit of an annoying experience for the listeners.
