Pines is a horror fiction novel. It is the first chapter of the Wayward Pines novel series. This book is written by Blake Crouch. He is an A-list narrator. Wayward is the second book of the trilogy and it will make a great read after the subject novel is finished. Dark Matter is another sensational novel from the author which is worth sharing here with the audience. This second recommended book is a mystery thriller by the author.

Etan Burke is a secret service agent. He arrived in Idaho having a clear mission in hand. The objective of the mission was to first locate and then recover a couple of federal agents. They both went missing in the bucolic town almost one month ago.
After just a few minutes of his arrival, Ethan himself met a violent accident. He arrived at the hospital and has got no cell phone, ID or briefcase at all. The medical staff at the hospital was quite friendly. But, there was still something there that felt a bit off. The investigation of Ethan with time turns up into a lot more of the questions than the answers. This was making the entire nexus very complicated.

This is a book that has a very exciting first half which was fast-paced and full of great content. The novel became a bit slow towards the second half. It was the voice of Paul Michael Garcia throughout the novel which will keep you thoroughly entertained. Overall, this novel is a good one and worth listening to.
