I rarely write a book review a book, but this time I felt I had to. This is a terrible book. The story is unbelievable at best. This woman got out of a bad relationship and jumps into another terrible relationship a few months later. It felt like the author was in junior high school. Don\’t waste your time or money here!

Nina is a Full Time (and stay at home) Mom of two teenage children. Her marriage is crumbling and her husband suddenly disappears without any explanation. Next thing she knows, a miracle happens and she meets Simon. An attentive and caring new man. Simon ticks all the boxes, uses the right cologne, buys the right gifts, cooks the most delicious food. The only member of the family who is not fooled is her daughter Maggie. Maggie feels that there is grave danger ahead….. No spoilers in my review. This a good Thriller to read if you like a domestic Thriller with non-stop action and suspense. For those who like this one, \”You\” by Caroline Kepnes is also a good choice.

Audiobook The New Husband by D. J. Palmer
People aren\’t always what they seem, and although the new husband does a good job of hiding his real motives, sometimes the cracks show through. The coolest part of this story is that the first person who sees through the husband is his young stepdaughter, and that puts her life in danger. She needs to find a way to make the adults around her see what\’s happening.Palmer makes you feel the terror of being a kid in danger–and nobody believes you.

Audio The New Husband narrated by January LaVoy Rebecca Soler
This book had the idea for a reasonable plot, but the blow by blow musings of everyone, reported in mind-numbing detail and frequency, reag loke a high school essay. I skipped the entire middle of the book which I never do.

This book had a lot of promise. The first few chapters are good and then it becomes formulaic and predictable. I didn\’t feel connected to any of the characters, they were tropey and generic. I felt I like this was a cheap Lifetime movie. If you watch these women in trouble movies or read books that are about women in dangerous situations with new men, you\’ll know exactly where this is gonna go. Save your time and money.
