Don’t Go There (Awkward Love #5)

This latest release from Missy Johnson hands down the funniest, so far, of the Awkward series. She nailed it clever, hilarious dialogue that will give you a lot of laugh-out-loud moments.

Katie and Adam trying to outsmart one another with crazy mobile pranks that are really embarrassing to everyone around them. As if they don’t like one another but you can feel the sexual tension between them. And when they can’t deny it anymore, holy smoke, it’s really HOT! Adam can really deliver and make little Katie happy!

I also enjoyed Darcy and Lily’s quick sarcastic banter to each other. These ladies can really bring the house down with their hilarious antics without really trying.

Overall, I immensely enjoy this story and I greatly recommend it if you’re into rom-com reading mode. Loved it!

Katies cousin Lily is desperate to talk to her EX before he marries someone else so Lily manipulates Katie into an impromptu vacation which just so happens to be where the wedding is. Along the way Katie enlists the help of her BFF Darcy. Together they take on Las Vegas and try to keep Lily from crashing the wedding. Only thingKatie has an embarrassing karaoke incident which is plastered over multiple FB pages, including her childhood love interest. This book was well-written, funny with sensual situations and poignancy too. There are good guys, bad guys, good guys masquerading as bad guys, surprises and a very satisfying HEA. I loved that Ms. Johnson touched on a very sensitive topic, mental health, in this book. I volunteered to review this book and it comes highly recommended.

OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS LOVED IT SOO MUCH………!!!!!!!! WOW WHIRLWIND CRAZINESS ROMANCE INTENSE MIND BLOWING STUFF HAPPENING IN THERE HOLY FREAKING SMOKES ALL OF THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN EVERYONE ESPECIALLY BETWEEN ADAM AND KATIE OFF THE FREAKING CHARTS OH MY!!!!!! AND WITH EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED BETWEEN THEM WITH THEIR HISTORY TOGETHER EVERYTHING WORKED OUT PERFECTLY AWWW:)))) THEY HAVE BEEN TOGETHER WITH EACH OTHER FOR SIX MONTHS AND GETTING CLOSER THAN EVER!!!! Katie tries to keep her flighty cousin, Lily, from ruining the wedding of Lily’s ex. Little does she know Lily inadvertently causes the biggest embarrassment of Katie’s life to spread like wildfire. Then she comes face to face with Adam, the man of said embarrassment who finds it all too amusing.

If you are into details, there are a few unanswered questions but if you can get beyond that – this is a very enjoyable story. For the love of pete, do NOT Google. I won’t say what, you’ll know. Just (sorry, have to say it)…don’t go there.

This was a delightful read with plenty of twists and turns that were both spine and funny bone tingling. They certainly kept the reader engaged. I just loved it.
I loved Katie and Adam and was cheering them on to finally straighten out the past and the present so that they could have their HEA. What a journey it was–definitely shouldn’t be missed.
I volunteered to review an arc of this book. I read it, and enjoyed it so much that I had to buy it.
