Good series

Im not even through the first chapter and am already disappointed!! I love this series and C.J. Croft was an AMAZING narrator. I purchased this audio book excited to continue the Stephanie Plum story to find out the narrator has changed and she is absolutely AWFUL! She is monotoned with no pitch difference for each character, she reads too fast, and says so many words wrong it sets my teeth on edge!!

I’m not even through the first Chapter and I want to rip my eardrums out. The new narrator is HORRIBLE! She is monotoned, does not change vocals based in the characters, speaks too fast, slurs words, drops endings off words, mispronounces words, and has a whiney tone. I LOVE this series and have done audiobook so I can listen to it and enjoy my drive to work. It’s a shame I can’t even make it through the first chapter. I’m going to ask to return the audio book and purchase the kindle edition to read on my own.

Anyone who has written fiction knows that it is much harder to write something funny than something sad. Ms. Evanovich is both a good writer and funny. She has obviously studied and mastered her crafther plots are well constructed, her style is clear, her dialogue is first rateand zippy; and, she has a real talent for the comedic. New Jersey comes to life and so do the characters in her books. She is a master of her genre and a laugh out loud delight to read. Bravo, Janet Evanovich!
