OMG! OMG! OMG! I AM TRULY, MADLY, DEEPLY IN LOVE WITH THIS NEW WORLD AND CHARACTERS! L.J. Shen opens her new series with a BANG, this book hit me like a truck. I’m a mess trying to handle so many emotions. The Hunter is an explosive mix of laugh out loud, intense angst and scorching sensuality that consumed me completely and left me BREATHLESS! My stomach was a swarm of butterflies from beginning to end, I don’t know what to do with myself anymore, I think I’m still in ecstasy.

IT’S OFFICIAL, HUNTER IS MY FAVORITE HERO EVER!! OMG, no other hero has smitten me the way that he did!, Hunter is every single thing that you want, utter perfection, sexy AF, sweet, and sooooo hilarious, I had so much fun with his antics, his mouth so dirty, dear God, accelerated my pulse and melted my panties, he made me swoon like no one! My love for him has no bouds! And our heroine Sailor, she is such a brave, determined and fierce, such a badass character. I love the way they complement each other, they crawled under my skin and reached the depths of my soul I WILL REMEMBER THIS COUPLE FOREVER!

Hunter and Sailor start as enemies being roommates for a deal that benefits them both, but as time passes, their relationship evolves to friends and is EVERYTHING, they are so sexy, emotional, and humorous, laughed out loud so much with their dialogues and text messages! Their romance is an exquisite slow burn, wow, THEIR ELECTRIFYING CHEMISTRY BRINGS THE BOOK TO LIVE LIKE NO OTHER, their scenes loaded with deep tension and attraction made my heart beat so fast, and their banter, OMG, I almost died of spontaneous combustion.

The Hunter owns my soul, mind and heart, I am fascinated, soo addicted to this story, I want to live forever with these characters. In addition, the glimpses we had of the other characters, and the clues the author throws towards the possible couples, it leaves many possibilities open, I am dying to know more of them. A standing ovation to L.J. Shen, her ability as a storyteller has no comparison, this story was OUTSTANDING, unputdownable, and there are not enough stars to rate how much I loved it!

Get ready for your new obsession! This exquisite romance will ruin you for the other books in the next decade, it will take your breath away and will own all your senses!

VICIOUS, SPARROW, DIRTY HEADLINES, BLOOD TO DUST … just a few of the books by this author that I love. As a fan of many of her books, I had alot to say about this book, but not everyone agrees with or tolerates dissenting opinions. Every word I express in my reviews is my honest truth and now I know another truth that manipulation and censorship are often stronger than truth. So despite my previous thoughts, here is a new brutal truth. LJ Shen has been, and can be again, a terrific author, which Ive always said as well as mention the books that I love in my reviews. I am sad when she doesnt live up to her potential. But, her books have changed and many of us no longer enjoy the kinds of stories she tells or even the way she tells them. Its not a crime. There is much wrong technically and grammatically with this book from a creative and execution standpoint; and a pattern of overly vulgar characters and actions has become the norm with shock value for its own sake. Personally as a reader who doesnt even have any emotional triggers in books, this is an unsatisfying pattern that simply makes characters unlikable.

Initially, I was lulled into the first pages of this story before unpalatable depravity overtook the characters and turned me off. That is my personal feeling and my right to express. Every reader should judge books for themselves, and this book is no exception. If you love it, thats all that matters. But readers should also be freely allowed to dissent. I never take someone elses book preferences personally. But its important to also return the favor to others who may disagree. It isnt possible to force people to like something, or not like it. Read the book and judge for yourselves always, but repression of honest viewpoints is a slippery slope. I hope to love each new book by this author and have only not read one of them. I WANT to love her books again, so dont shoot the messenger who disagrees because it doesnt benefit anyone. For all readers who love The Hunter, thats all that counts. If you love this book, enjoy. If you dont love it, thats okay too.

Gahh! L.J. Shen did it again!!! I absolutely fell in love with Hunter Fitzpatrick in the All Saints High series but could never have expected how he would take my breath away in The Hunter. This story left me completely spellbound! His connection and banter with Sailor was pure perfection. I fell more in love with this story and this couple after every page and truly feel that there isno greater hero than Hunter. He is Next Level Magnificence and is L.J. Shen at her very best!!

When I found out that this story would feature the daughter of one of my favorite Shen heroes, Troy Brennan, I was so intrigued. I expected a take no prisoners kind of heroine, but Sailor Brennan just blew me away. She was a fiery redhead that could rival any siren but with the heart of an angel. She was the perfect combination of both Troy and Sparrow. An independent straight shooter who stood on her own two feet. I loved the connection she and Hunter shared as their spitfire back and forth banter and comraderie rivaled the insanely combustible heat between them.

All in all, I loved this opposites attract story so much. Sailor and Hunter were so different on paper but she was the only one capable of seeing through his playboy exterior to the lonely and vulnerable man inside. Likewise,Sailor was the gamechanger Hunter never saw coming and she slayed him right to his knees, catching the Hunter as her very own prey with his heart as her prize. Bravo! 6 Stars! ~Ratula

Oh wow where to start? This book was like a breath of fresh air! I don’t remember laughing so much while reading. And actually re-reading certain lines so I can store them into memory The characters and dialogue feel so real and genuine that you feel like you are actually talking to them. Like meeting with best friends and bantering and laughing! Hunter’s and Sailor’s interactions and especially their internal monologues were hilarious and I can’t wait to start this book again but their unconventional love..oh my heart…it was everything!!!! Congratulations LJ Shen on writing such an amazing, funny, heartfelt story!

Another LJ Shen hit for me! The Hunter was angsty with an arrogant playboy with a penchant for the ladies… and trouble, and a spitfire strong woman who knew when and how to fight.

Sailor – I simply loved her and her fire. I loved how passionate and loving she was, and I loved how she put Hinter in his place when he needed it and I loved how human she was, seeing her vulnerable, allowing herself to be vulnerable. Her character holds a special place in my heart.

And the same goes for Hunter. I loved his carefree personality, and his banter, especially with Sailor, charmed me a lot. I enjoyed seem through this facade he held and it slowly cracked under Sailor’s eyes. With all that though, I still wanted to smack him across his head sometimes.

The book was not what I was expecting at all. No book by this author is ever the same, her magic making each story unique and incredible, however, I expected A****** falls in love with a beautiful strong woman, but I got so much more. I got see them as humans with flaws and pasts and seeing them fall in love was like finding treasure.

I, however, kinda have an unhealthy addiction to Cillian. He’s the brute who looks good in a suit… and can speak French. Yummy!

I loved this book, and I can’t wait to see what else happens in the lives of the Boston Belles. Bring it on!
