Spring Magic (Thorne Witches #4)

I want a refund from all the people writing rave reviews. There is a difference in feeling shocked that the author went there and feeling a part of the story. I didnt want to pay for these books. They were cute enough. They all follow the same format. I ran out of books. and came across this series again. The reviews had a consensus that said this one is different so I picked it up for the light read. First there is the same format as the others -the Thorne lady recognizing her mate, and him being too dumb/righteous whatever to do so. She gives up. He comes running. She is mean out of hurt. Overview: She acts like a child. Puts herself in danger. Blames him for her dumb actions. She\’s kidnapped, sold into sex slavery – raped, addicted to heroine, beat up. He comes to save her months later, and she screams at him for rejecting her and causing her to act dumb and get kidnapped. Seriously. 0 responsibility after all that. She is then killed. The goddess brings her back to life but she loses her memory. To be fair, I got fed up and skipped many chapters. I opted to skim and read the last chapter to get the jist. I understand authors wanting to bring light to their causes but I didn\’t pick up this book for it. None of the others so far have gone this route. It was unexpected and not well written. You never connect with the story. There are parts that do not fit the storyline. 4 months later, the most powerful witch family realized that the power to find her is by using the power of the clearing (the place that is special to them all for the power and the place where all of their important rituals have been in the past) but naturall, they would. never consider it. The love interest tries to save her and fails. He learns she was killed when he rushes back to the clearing for help and sees them all quiet, and solemn. They had just witnessed their sister\’s murder. It seemed very subdued for their personalities. I suspect the author wasn\’t sure how to appall us and walk the line of \’this isn\’t that kind of book\’. You end up detached from the story and characters. Never getting an emotional connection with them. I suspect she did better towards the end but I was done after 20 chapters.

Ok yeah nope. I got until chapter 12 and I skipped to the end. I do not like to read about rape. I don\’t care if the author didn\’t write the actual scene into the story I don\’t want to read it. Spring and Knox were the two most annoying characters in the series. Knox has a effed up reason for rejecting Spring for all those yrs only to do a 180 whenever she finally starts to move on. I got whiplash. But Knox was completely correct about Spring. She needed to learn how to grow the ef up but not by being sold into sex slavery and raped. She was asked not to leave the room, she knew a bad guy was after them to kill them, but what does she do?!?! She leaves the room!! And all because she hears Knox talking about her saying she was immature and can\’t control her anger. And what does she do?? Proves him right by not controlling her anger. Does she deserve what happened to her? Heck no! But that part is on the author. I hated missing out on so much in the middle of the book. It seemed like a lot happened but I honestly still don\’t care enough to go back and try to read it. If this had been book one or two I wouldn\’t even continue. I was really liking this series but this one sourers it a great deal. If the next one isn\’t really good I\’m done.

What a turn of events in this one. While the Thorne mother is still in stasis, it is Spring Thornes and Knox Carlyle as the next team to look for an artifact that will help her. After much protest, Alister sends them to find \”Thors hammer\”. They know the murdering Lin is on their tail also looking for it, but the main problem is that it is hidden in the home of a horrific drug lord. This is where things change for the Thorne and Carlyle clans. Even though the Thornes are the strongest and most powerful witches,and the Carlyles being the most powerful of warlocks, they will be put to the test!! Who will survive the torture, murder and magic? This one has some shocking moments that will leave your heart pumping fast! Just get the series lol

Spring Magic did not disappoint! My favorite so far. This is about Spring and Knox\’s story and their quest for another artifact. With things that have happened in the past these two have one heck of a road ahead of them. I love the strength that Spring has in this book and how all the sister\’s and their significant others gather to support and love one another. T.M. Cromer has made an awesome storyline and list of stong characters. I can\’t wait to see where she takes us next! Kudos!!!!!

I have really enjoyed all 3 of the books that came before this one… Summer, Autumn, & Winter… each of their stories were great, they had me smiling, & even laughing at times.They also had me almost holding my breath, cuz I couldn\’t read fast enough to find out what was going to happen! So as I said, I loved their stories, those books… BUT WE ARE HERE ABOUT THIS BOOK…HERE ABOUT SPRING…The youngest of the Thorne sisters, the sweetest, the smartest, the sassiest, & to some the most beautiful. She is said to be the \”heart\” of the family, their treasured jewel. So let me just say, I don\’t want to ruin anything before you read it, by giving anything away… I\’ll just say a few things… Any on the edge of your seat type feelings you got from the first 3 books, are nothing compared to what you\’ll get in this one. By now you should understand, that yes a Thorne only loved once… but also we\’ve learned, that the sister go through almost heartbreak before getting that true love fixed, so it will last. Well again… what Spring will go through… I will just say it is a heart wrencher, so if you\’re easily \”effected\” then have tissues ready (I needed some myself LOL). This story has some Epic ups & downs, be ready, hold on tight… oh & start when you have a few days free, cuz you won\’t want to put the book down LOL.
