Still lots of zombies, but this time they are teaming up & showing some intellect.
This ZF book was slightly different than the other 9 because Mark Tufo seems to give us more insight into some of the more low key characters like his brother Ron, who we watch experience the loss of losing his wife Nancy, a daughter who Talbot had found a zombie in earlier ZF books & the loss of their father in the earlier ZF books.

Ron is the older brother Talbot turned to for help in earlier ZF books and he is also the hardcore fanatic who planned for an apocalypse.

Talbot sees him as more of a father figure in the ZF series, but when Ron has somewhat a diminished capacity to live after what he experiences losing his wife, we see that Talbot who we always knew acted like the leader & risk taker is now the actual leader everyone turns to for sound advice.
Talbot may seem like he doesn’t know what he’s doing, but in this ZF he pulls it together to save who he can of his family & friends.

We also see the usual BT, Talbot’s side kick making us laugh at the situations Talbot always seems to put him in.
Trip, the crazy stoner, who may not actually be crazy & his wife.
Plus the usual family members, Tracy, Talbots very intelligent wife, who constantly must look out for Talbot himself & the rest of the family, to include Nicole, giving birth to Talbots first grandson.

As an avid reader & fan of Mark Tufo’s work, I am curious to see what happens to Talbots heir’s in this series after reading the Lycan books, I don’t recall if there are any Talbots left, which I would think would be odd given Talbots as a whole ability to survive & prosper.

I look forward to some more ZF & other books written by Mark Tufo. I am excited to read some more of the Lycan series to see how Talbot survives the werewolf crisis.
I was also disappointed it is taking so long for the audible version of this book because I so enjoy listening to Sean Runnett, who reads all the characters well. He sounds just like you picture Talbot would sound. He has Talbots voice & mannerisms down to a T, Plus he does an awesome Tracy & BT. Either way I have read the book now & will await to enjoy the audible version.

“Keep it up Mr. T”, as Tommy would probably say. He is also a main player in this book, but this time he acts quite mature, given his kindness & aversion to not eating… Is somewhat odd for him, but I do believe it’s time that Tommy act more his age, but maybe a little less serious all the time.

Until the next Tufo book on Talbot’s nutty adventures!
