Robert Ian Mackenzie narrates another story of romance at the time of World War II written by Diana Gabaldon. The author knits these stories out of nowhere and induces the feelings in the minds of an adult audience.
Almost all of the books have nothing for the children which they can cheer about because the feelings conveyed in the novels are for adults to understand. Diana talks about the war era because she wanted to show to the fans that love and romance just take us out of the war. War and things like a financial crisis or hunger mean nothing in front of love at first sight which can madden anyone.

This novel is not like Virgins or Outlander where love songs start tickling you from the beginning. Rather the novel is a continuation of Roger MacKenzie’s story. It was during the World War when Roger lost his parents and he was told that the death of his parents was the result of the war. Especially Roger’s father was talked highly about because he was a pilot and he died when he went to the enemy zone for a fight. Now years later Roger came to know that it was all a big lie that was told to him.
To search for the truth the boy starts a voyage during which he is struck with wonders and the truth which he finally gets is just too strange to handle. It took two whole books to tell the listeners what happened to Roger’s parents. For the fans who have not listened to the first portion, this novel is a complete waste of time to get the first portion before this one.
