I think I suspected everyone but the actual killer in this book. Everyone seemed to have a motive for wanting Richard Abernathie dead and when his sister, Cora, is murdered after suggesting he was killed, you figure someone wants her silenced. Then, Cora\’s elderly companion nearly dies and you figure she knows something. Round and round you go. Every time one of the possible suspects opens their mouths, you figure it\’s them. There was one I really almost wanted it to be just because they were so very unlikable. Even our detective was confused for a good while. Again, really glad I didn\’t get into the business of the criminal justice system because I would have made a really poor detective jumping to conclusions all over the place.

After the Funeral audiobook in series Hercule Poirot

I enjoy Christie\’s writing style and have never disliked any of her mysteries. This was very good except I felt like the solution to the mystery came out of left field. In my opinion, the best mystery is the one in which the reader potentially could\’ve solved it. This story kept too much hidden from the reader.

Audiobook After the Funeral by Agatha Christie

I love Agatha Christie. I love the funny little rotund detective. Usually when I start a book, I briefly glance at th forward and see if anything strikes my fancy. I DO read the afterward that says why certain aspects were included and how, say, telephones were just coming into play, or what, indoor plumbing? Gasp! But this Forward is so good and such vindication. We had no TV growing up because, well, we were overseas In third world countries. But we had a library card! We plowed through mysteries. And books HAVE so changed. READ THE FORWARD! It’s awesome! So is the book!

Audio After the Funeral narrated by David Suchet Stephanie Cole

This is not your usual Agatha Christie were miss marple or Hercules Poroit are in the investigation from the beginning. I have to admit it was a bit boring in the beginning but once the descriptive phase was over, the conversations between characters cane to the forefront and the plot started to move

Superb reading as always! I would never think of giving Agatha Christie any thing but five stars. Wicked plot with distinguishable characters. If I had a relative like Aunt Cora, I\’d avoid her at all cost. I can\’t imagine knowing someone who spoke their mind at the most inappropriate times. Enjoyed it very much.
