Humanity’s future dwindled the day when the aliens attacked the solar system. One planet after the other, the aliens just kept on increasing their strangled hold. The alliance which the people of the earth had with other planets is non-existent now because the aliens have blocked all the routes for any kind of supply or help. Mars has fallen and the Lankies now want to get to the earth in the same dominant way. Andrew Grayson after trying hard to stop the invasion is now looking tired as he is out of resources and soon the battle will go against him and his followers.

Some kind of help from the outside world can give the humans living on earth some time to think. Sino- Russians and North Americans are working together and this is the last line of defense on which everyone is depending as the rest of the channels have been blocked completely.
Marko Kloos is taking the series much further from here on and there are no chances that all of it will end in quick succession. Luke Daniels i.e the old battle ax is a famous name in the list of narrators who narrate fiction stories superbly. Luke not only starts the narration well, but the narrator also ends it equally well too.

Like Ballistic and Fields of Fire don’t give this book a break and try to listen to it in a single day. Sometimes a gap of one or two days disturbs the continuity and you tend to forget some of the useful stuff. Then a quick rewind consumes more time and causes boredom.
