Cat o’ Nine Tales is a delightful mix of previously published favorite short stories, with two new novellas covering a wide swath of Jane’s life. The stories are told through the perspective of Jane’s friends and adversaries which add depth and understanding of Jane Yellowrock’s situations in the book series.

For die-hard Jane Yellowrock readers who’ve read everything in print they could find, the two new novellas included in this collection will absolutely titillate, as they divulge more information about one of Jane’s flames and introduce a whole new group of characters to the Yellowrock saga with adventure to spare! Jane and business partner Eli get to meet Ricky-Bo’s extended family and friends with eye-opening results!

I totally enjoyed the entire collection of stories. The stories I’ve read before brought new facts about Jane’s history I’d either missed or forgotten about to the foreground, and the new novellas were rich, exciting and well worth reading.

Faith Hunter continues to showcase her mastery of urban fantasy thriller short stories in this excellent collection, and I highly recommend the read.

Audible book performer Khristine Hvam’s performance of Beast is perfect as were the Cajun accents. This is the first collection of short works that I’ve ever trully enjoyed. That says a lot about author Faith Hunter both as a story teller and as an artist working creatively with different forms and formats.

I enjoyed listening to this audiobook.
