Though predictable, it’s still a cute and simple story with two very likeable characters that sizzle. I love how Ian and Roxanne met; Ian not knowing that Roxanne is his sister’s best friend; and Roxanne not knowing he’s her friend’s big brother. As much as I liked the characters and the plot, I felt that the story was rushed, and that there were some issues that were never resolved. The way they broke up was just ridiculous, especially when they declared their love for one another just an hour prior to breaking up. Ian does have some issues because of his tours; still more insight would have helped me understand him better. His relationship with his parents was never resolved; mind you I thought his mother was off her rocker. As to what he’s going to do for a job, nothing is mentioned. Roxanne’s issue is that she doesn’t believe in love; boiled down, she’s been burned a couple of times with her past relationships; and her mother’s four failed marriages only reinforces her beliefs. Yet we’re to believe that after being with Ian for only two weeks she tells him she loves him; she beats him to it in fact. Talk about being rushed and a little unrealistic. There was one issue that just didn’t make sense, nor was it realistic: Ian demands that she not unbuckle her seatbelt while he’s driving – which makes total sense. However, a minute later Roxanne and Ian are having sex while he’s driving. Really? And they say texting while driving is dangerous (cue eye-rolling). Realistic? A big fat no.

In the end it’s still a good story with a lot of sexual chemistry. I just feel there was too much missing, not enough substance to it that could have made this novel so much better. To each his/her own.

Before starting my review of “Chasing Mrs. Right” I would like to thank Katee Robert for her interest. I had trouble buying this book and wrote to Katee to her for her help. We corresponded several times and I was finally able to buy the book off amazon.
Now for the review. After reading “Wrong Bed, Right Guy” I thought that the second book of the series would be Nathan’s story. But instead it’s Elle’s brother Ian and her best friend Roxanne’s story.
We met Roxanne in the first book. She is a spit-fire who isn’t afraid to speak her mind or go after what she wants. We also learn in this book that she has a big fear of commitment and especially the “L” word. It has been drummed into her by her mother that nothing good ever lasts and not to trust men.
Ian has just returned from a tour in Afghanistan. He is suffering from mild PTSD. He can’t be in crowded places and is consistently running away from his family and friends. He feels pressured to run his family’s business but doesn’t want to travel as much as the job requires. He only seems to find peace and solace with Roxanne.
Having one person with issues in a relationship is difficult, but having two, makes it a real challange. But despite all the obsticles that they have they heal each other. Needless to say, the HOT sexual connection that they share doesn’t hurt 😉
I just can’t wait to read Nathan and his mystery woman’s story, which I hope will be the next book in the series!

Audiobook Chasing Mrs. Right by Katee Robert

Katee Robert’s Chasing Mrs. Right the second in the Come Undone series is not the best. When compared to Wrong Bed Right Guy it fails to capture that same laugh out loud funny and mouth wateringly sexy vibe. Here Elle’s older brother Ian is back home from war with a case of Post Tramatic Stress Disorder and all around messed up with anxiety. He literaly runs into Roxanne on his way out of the homecoming party hosted by Elle at fiance Gabe’s club. He instantly takes to her and they have one crazy night. He decides he wants her but she doesn’t do committment. Robert’s second book in the series is definitely more intense as she deals with a darker subject matter. Her writing is on point here but Chasing Mrs. Right is missing the spark of its predecessor. Yes, the sex is just as hot but the click from characters really having a genuine connection is lacking. I read this novel with the highest of hopes and I loved the idea of Roxanne having a calming influence on Ian and how they met. I also enjoyed seeing more of Elle’s parents especially her crazy mother but Robert’s left us hanging with Roxanne’s family. There is too much surface only story for me to love this book and Robert’s failed to give Roxanne’s character a bigger window into her past. If you haven’t already read it,I would reccomend Wrong Bed Right Guy versus Chasing Mrs. Right.

Audio Chasing Mrs. Right narrated by Kasha Kensington

I wanted to know what happened to Ian and Roxanne, who were secondary characters in

Wrong Bed, Right Guy (Come Undone)

And, I’m a sucker for a tortured, military veteran, so I was expecting to like this story.

Holy cow! I LOVED it! This is case of the second book being hotter and more emotional than the first, in a series. Both Ian and Roxanne are dealing with deeply personal commitment issues and are wary of a relationship. Hot sex is ok, GREAT, even, but intimacy is a no-no.

So, both are caught unaware when they start falling for each other, effortlessly. They need to put aside their own baggage, to be there for the other one. I appreciate that Ms. Robert spent time allowing this part of their relationship develop organically. It was not rushed, and felt real.

I look forward to reading

Two Wrongs, One Right (Come Undone)

Nathan’s story. From the hints given in the first two books, it plans to also be an emotional rollercoaster.

Great series!

It was a little to predictable for my taste ,and the unnecessary drama was irritating!I bought this because I really liked the first book ,and Elle’s best friend seemed like a down to earth ,strong ,sensible person of whom I wouldn’t mind finding out what her story was like but in the second book she turned out to be disappointing and very annoying with that “I like him but relationships doomed to fail so why bother” attitude and he did his best to make her trust him and then left her hanging …the drama and indecisiveness was extremely annoying for such a short read it took me 3 days to finish a book that I usually finish in 3hrs
