I am convinced, as was another reader, Mr. Woods did not write this. I have read every book and this was soooo boring and simplest. At least Stone was not sleeping with everyone, just the President-elect! Oh brother! I don’t know how anyone beyond an 8th grade education could enjoy this. I think this will be my last Woods book as they border on being skimming quality!

Boring plot, but more ridiculous is the terrible and unrealistic writing about the Presidential transition, the White House, etc. The political/election writing by Woods has always been pretty mediocre, but this book takes it to a whole new (worse) level. Do some very basic research to make the background/context at least mildly realistic. I\’ve read every one of the Stone/Holly/Teddy novels. They\’re entertaining even though not realistic in any way. But this one is nearly impossible to read because of how absurd it is.

Audiobook Choppy Water (Stone Barrington #54) by Stuart Woods
Too bad, I have read all the Stuart Woods\’ books about Stone Barrington. I used to love this series, but now I can\’t enjoy a book that is so against Republicans. Usually I don\’t care about the political leanings of an author, but Woods hates conservatives so much, that he makes them the villian in his stories. He forgets that a Democrat actually shot a Rebulican playing baseball, and tried to kill him. He should live in the real world, where the liberals are violent and destructive, and stop putting violence on the heads of Republicans. Goodby Stuart Woods!

Audio Choppy Water (Stone Barrington #54) narrated by Tony Roberts
I\’ve been a big Stone Barrington fan for a lot of years but each book gets progressively more ridiculous. This one tops them all. Yes, he\’s known Holly a long time, but his intimate involvement into the presidential transition is crazy. Also, why did they want to kill her? It was just kind of boring.

I have read every book in the Stone Barrington series and by far this is the worst. The development of the bad guys was plodding and uninteresting. The rest of the plot was repetitive and not entertaining. He has to get away from the political stuff and get back to jet setting intrigue.
