I love the Blackwater series but this one I just couldn\’t even finish because the narrator was such a bad fit in my opinion. I\’m sorry but he sounds way too old and then the female/kid voices he made just creeped me out for some reason. I am not hating on him because he was obviously trying and put in a lot of effort. For a book about older men with no children, he would be great probably. lol, The story is cute but I couldn\’t get past the narration.

This is the fifth book in The Blackwater Pack Series. A fascinating book with good writing. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters interesting. The characters were developed and thought out. Zayne and Pax are the MC’s of this book and each has a child. Although the narrator wasn’t for me, the narration was good and not monotone. I can recommend this book as a good read/listen. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.

This is a cute and sweet romance of two friends, Pax and Zane, who get a second chance at love. They’ve been friends since kids but life took them in different directions, Pax became a teenage dad and Zane left for the military. Now Zane is back with a child of his own and Pax takes them in to help. Their connection is undeniable and it’s really sweet watching them come together and get their HEA with a few bumps along the way. The narrator was alright but the voices seemed much older than what the characters are supposed to be. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audio book.

Audio Claimed By The Soldier (Blackwater Pack #5) narrated by Anton Rush
This was such a sweet friends to lovers romance. It made me smile a lot. I was so happy to get to listen to this book. I hated having to pause it because this couple was so sweet and I just wanted to keep listening to this story. There is a lot of heat and some really sweet children. I am really happy I listened to this book and got to spend time with these characters. I hope to get to listen to more books in this world.

I liked the story here. There were a lot of sweet moments, especially with the whole friends-to-mates theme. My only problem listening to this was the narrator. While his voice was fine, it felt off to the story and aged the characters terribly.
