Cleaning the Gold is a really good short story featuring Jack Reacher and Will Trent, two of my favorite characters. I usually don\’t like collaborations between well known authors with equally known characters but this one works really well. I wish this book was longer. It felt like it could be the prologue for another book for either or both characters together or separate. Some devious information is discovered at the end that cries out for completion. It\’s a worthwhile cliffhanger that should be followed up (one can only hope)! The two narrators worked very well together. This short story is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Took awhile to flesh out these familiar, beloved characters in this scenario and then squashed the plot line. The ending was more dangling than suspenseful. 8 people found this helpful

It’s good enough to leave yearning for more. And I’m sure that was both authors ‘ intentions. I’m hooked! 6 people found this helpful

I hate cliffhangers. This book panders to those who will read the next book. That certainly won\’t be me. 6 people found this helpful

I am a Will Trent fan. I have loved all of the stories involving this character, until this one. I was disappointed as it was simply boring. Characters and story were not developed. The performance was monotone and boring. Still a huge Will Trent fan and am looking forward to the release of the next book in this series. Already pre-ordered. 3 people found this helpful
