Come Sundown is a novel by Nora Roberts. It is a women’s fiction chapter. Nora Roberts writes women-oriented novels along with contemporary romance novels where women characters are always very strong. To witness Nora Roberts at her best, check out her The Awakening novel. Apart from this one, The Obsession novel is something that would also mesmerize you to the maximum.
Elisabeth Rodgers is the narrator of this chapter. The narration was quite slow-paced and it impacted the overall audiobook experience considerably.
Come Sundown
The Bodine ranch along with the resort is a family business in western Montana. It was an exotic spot for vacations as well. The area of the resort was a little over thirty thousand acres. It was home to four different generations and the place or the business was run by Bodine Longbow. The place had a large staff and it also included Calen Skinner, a new hire. There was one more member of the family once who was Alice, the aunt of Bodine. She ran away before the birth of Bodine and she never returned. The Longbows don’t like to talk too much about her. The younger lot of the family who hasn’t seen her ever presumes that she is dead. But, she is alive actually. She is part of a new family and not too far away. She is with a family who she never chose and her mind feels to be shattered somehow.
This for a Nora Roberts book was a bit too hard to digest. It is mostly because of the rape scenes and the too much brutality in the storyline, especially with the character of Alice.
