I have been a Patterson fan for a long time. However, he doesn’t seem to be writing the way he once did. Who wouldn’t like Alex Cross and his Nana Mama? But this book is so far fetched, it doesn’t have the same interest the other books did. The ending was ridiculous and unbelievable.
Such a shame for a talented writer to lose the way. I probably won’t buy any more, I’ll just get them at the library and see if they improve.

Cross Justice audiobook in series Alex Cross
Lately Mr. Patterson seems to just be mass producing novels. So, when an Alex Cross novel, penned by only Patterson comes out, I go for it. I’ve always enjoyed this particular character.
Honestly, I kept trying to find a redeeming factor in this book. It just wasn’t there.
There are actually two murder mysteries going on here. A cross dresser in Florida is murdering affluent women. The other murder takes Alex and his family to North Carolina, being a family member is the chief suspect in a murder case.
The Florida case is watery, at best; the climax just didnt deliver for me. The premise behind Cross’s relative is very good. Unfortunately there’s a great deal of convoluted conversation. Combine this with a countless number of characters, simplistic writing, and an unbelievable story and the good plot premise disappears.
The ending of the novel brings the reader a very large twist which just puts it over the top. Any semblance of believability evaporates.
The book left me yearning for the days Mr. Patterson penned novels such as “Mary, Mary” and some other Alex Cross gems.

Cross Justice audiobook by James Patterson
I loved this Alex Cross book. I think it was the best one yet. It was fast paced, action packed and kept you guessing if Stephan was guilty or not. I finished it in one day. I couldn’t put it down. I recommend it as a great escape forget all your troubles read.

Cross Justice audio narrated by Taye Diggs
Alex Cross has been involved with many serious cases in his professional career. But the one against his cousin in Alex’s former hometown of Starksville, NC and the one he stumbles upon in Palm Beach, Florida tests his crime solving skills to the limits. Through all this, a thirtyfive year mystery unfolds with an unexpected conclusion. Alex Cross’s fans will enjoy this multiple plot page turner as they get to know more Cross family members in this well told story.

James Patterson is incredible. I’ve been reading about Alex Cross and family since the beginning. I also have been keeping up with the rest of the Patterson books as well. Detective Mike Bennett, the Women’s Murder Club…..etc. I have been let down maybe twice in all those years. But then the next Patterson title is released and I know why that was so. This guy can really come up with some wildly excellent plots. I know if he didn’t have an outlet for his imagination, hmmm, let’s just leave it at that. This book is one of great talent. Incredible tweaks and twisted ploys are Patterson specialty. When you start reading this book give yourself a whole weekend to enjoy it. As far as anything I didn’t like about this I just can’t recall what. Alex Cross gets the gold medal in this case. I’m sorry I read this so quickly. Now what am I going to do. Thank you James for finally giving Dr Cross his recognition he deserves. That’s all I’m giving away. READ the rest in this book.
