For decades Harry struggled against the harsh circumstances but for the last few years, he has been living a comfortable life. For many people in the world, a comfortable life proves to be a great blessing but for Harry, it comes with a hint of upcoming destruction.

Vampires are coming to the land with specified targets that cannot be missed. If Harry goes down in the fight against the vampires then the war between the wizards and the vampires would end forever. Vampires are not the only trouble the great wizard deals with; some killers want to get rid of Harry for the sake of fun. The Shroud of Turin is still missing with no clue and for the Chicago police, there are dead bodies everywhere with only their trunk left for investigation.

Jim Butcher gives Harry more and more pain against odds which he has no tool to fight with. Dresden’s files are always fun to listen to in the voice of James Marsters. Better than Peace Talks and Storm Front because the author does not try to mold things too much according to his own will. He lets fate decide the end of the story. The story is in a kind of flow which shows that the author has not tried to readjust it after it was written. Readjustments damage the originality of the story and the patches afterward destroy the fun completely.
