Departure (Seth Walker #3)

Reid does it again with this “can’t put down until you finish” the book. Readers will finally learn why “Walker” is the way he is….but closure for him comes at a loss (Shirley and his God Children). There is hope they will meet again in future books written by Reid. Plot is well written, thoughtful and thorough. Looking forward to Reid’s next book.

I expected the pace and action. Its a Joseph Reid novel. But I was pleasantly surprised by the emotional twists and turns. Loved it from the first page to the last.

I was really disappointed in this 3rd book of the series. The jumping back and forth in time was at best distracting and irritating. I enjoyed the story, well, both story lines. But, it came off as disjointed and jerky. And the ending seemed to be quite abrupt. Things kind of got wrapped up, but I was surprised to turn the page and discover that was the end.

I can’t say that I would personally recommend this one, but everybody’s different. It might be the right fit for you.

Another fast-paced action thriller, this not only stands on its own as an exciting read, but also brings some closure to fans of the earlier Seth Walker books. A must-read for casual poolside/beach readers as well as aviation enthusiasts. You wont be able to put it down!

Some elements of the plot are not clearly developed. Seth Walker is an appealing main character. The action and chase scenes are well done. This is an interesting story but not exactly an all-night page turner. Certain technical elements are not plausible. The aviation scenes are well done but sparse. Reid shows promise as a techno-thriller author but has a way to go for a place among the top thriller authors like Greaney, Cameron and Thor.
