Doctor Sleep was written in 2013 by Stephen King who is known by his horror-mystery-suspense novels. The Shining was one of his well-known works which gives a continuation of the disturbing events in Doctor Sleep. It was set about several decades after the conclusion of The Shining. The story mainly focused on the character of Danny Torrance, the son of the mad and chaotic protagonist in The Shining. Danny, now Dan, became known as “Doctor Sleep” for his talent in helping the dying with the help of a cat who has the ability to tell when the patient is near to death. Dan’s character has flipped, from taking after his father’s personality traits. He chooses to become a nomad and take his expedition as he tries to end his addiction.

As much as I want to continue his inspiring story I would rather ask you to read the novel yourself not to spoil you.
Doctor Sleep is a good story especially to those who find themselves in the same situation as the characters.
