I have to admit, my expectations were high after reading the first part of this duet. But the direction of this story was even better than I expected, and pulled at every string in my heart and soul. How I LOVE these two together, even during the times when they were APART. Ms. Axelrod tells a story with prose that flows, weaving tactile details in that I truly loved. The tastes, smells, sights–and SOUNDS. Oh, the sounds! I loved the wide range of eclectic tunes selected for every section of the plot. I sincerely hope and plead there will be more parts of this series coming from this amazing and talented creator.

Ah. I’ve been a fan of these two since reading Xio’s short, When Frankie meets Johnny. To watch their story continue and see the love bloom – they are just the best. Xio’s words will melt your heart. And if that’s not enough, her insight and wisdom and interlacing of music will. These two will remain a fave for a very long time. THANK YOU for writing them.

And though a terrible secret threatens their budding relationship, theyve enough of a base to survive it. Xio takes a guy-wrenching accusation and makes it all too real. These two are on fire and not even an omitted detail is enough to tear them apart. So glad the story got an ending.

If you’ve already read When Frankie Meets Johnny, you’ll love Xio Axelrod’s Frankie and Johnny: Let the Music Play. In the first book, we saw how they met; now we get to enjoy watching how the relationship between Scottish DJ Frankie and teacher-construction worker Johnny develops. There’s a great vibe between them and both Frankie and Johnny are richly drawn characters whom readers can root for. I really loved their chemistry and how Xio weaves music into the storyline. It adds another fun level of depth to an already cool story. Definitely a satisfying story! Highly recommended!
