I find these books to be very well written. They keep you engaged. I started with book one in the series and now enjoy reading how the characters lives progress.

Fudge Cupcake Murder series Hannah Swensen

I have not been disappointed yet with any of Ms Fluke’s Hannah Swenson stories. Like her characters and plots. Only criticism is that some of her dialogue would be better placed in a romance novel (not a fan). But the story is good enough that I will be reading the next in the series.

Audiobook Fudge Cupcake Murder by Joanne Fluke

Book number five did not disappoint. I loved this one as much as the first four. I’m out of town, but when I get home, Hannah’s Cookbook should be waiting for me. Next on my agenda, start book six, Sugar Cookie Murder.

Once again, Hannah the heroine has solved a tricky murder. The interspersing of recipes makes for a delicious read!! Enjoy!

I enjoy this series as light relief when I don’t feel like concentrating too hard. In that sense, this book lived up to my expectations: fun, but nothing too challenging. I particularly liked the mystery of the secret ingredient which runs through this book in parallel with the murder plot.

Loved the book as always; Joanne Fluke does a wonderful job keeping the story interesting and mis-directing, so you don’t guess the murderer until the end of the book. And I’m just dying to try the recipes

I love these light mysteries and the added romance and her two boyfriends. Hannah loves them both. Love Hannah’s recipes and her cookbook.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading the first 4 books in this series, and I was consequently eager to get my hands on this book.
Unfortunately there are a number of silly spelling mistakes or obviously wrong words used in places which make the book much harder to read and understand, also it appears that character names have been mixed up in various places which also detract from the otherwise excellent book.
The book doesn’t seem to flow as well as the others or have the funny, everyday life descriptions. It quickly jumps from one place to the next and whilst this didn’t stop me following the plot, it wasn’t as much fun as I loved the character descriptions which used to fill in the blanks
